It's a standard 1/10 scale receiver so if your truck has the square receiver hole in the bumper, it should work.

Will this work on gen 8 scout?

I can not say for sure about a gen 8 scout specifically but I was under the impression that it fits any 1/10 hitch receiver. The shank on the hitch is plenty long enough and has multiple holes to secure it. I know it works with my g-made.
