Don't use outdoors on a windy day! lol
Just as described. Not my 1st bag of D.E. But is my 1st bag from this seller. It does what I purchased it for. It dehydrates a multitude of insects.. Example, while moving things around in the garage I came across a 'potato bug' part ant, spider, grub = alien or science experiment! It was hollowed out, and it wasn't there a couple of days ago.. so GOAL!! The only thing I've found it doesn't kill are spiders. But Talstar does. (domyown dot com) is the cheapest exterminator I know of and the best service provider I've ever known deals out the doses... me! Ha!! It's super rewarding to come home and see a spider that apparently had a home up in the eaves of my front porch (somewhere) spinning like it's part of circus circle.. twirling, spinning (what they do when they're poisoned). I hate using poisons, however I hate much more being bitten by spiders. I've never been bitten by a spider until I moved into this particular home fulltime. So bi annually I spray the perimeter of the property & home. The results are amaz' ba;;s.. D.E. does the rest. Great thing about D.E, is when it gets wet and say an ant walks through it, it WEARS IT HOME.. and ends up sharing it with the household or hive.. team. Synced in the worst/best ways! Woo hoo. Best way to rid your property of insect type pests.. is dust your outdoors with D.E periodically (of course when the wind is on vaca) and within about 30 minutes to 4 hours your nests will be no more. *When I moved in to this home some years back, it was infested with fleas. The involvement of applying it to the carpets, furniture, and garage.. was as much fun as cleaning it up. Back then I had no clue about 'dry vacs or shop vacs'. : / I went through 4 vacuums and 1 carpet cleaner. Yeah.. Lesson learned. ** Brushing (with a car wash brush, long handled) the sifted D.E on the carpet (everywhere) By the time you are all done, give it at least a few hours. I waited a day. Will clear up any boo boo's you may not know you had on your feet or a case of foot fungas, for sure. My toe nails were shiny by the time We done with the treatment from A to Z!! Better than a foot bath. Will definitely need to dust, after. Real bad! When reversing the application (cleaning it up) Please use a Shop Vac. It WILL have you replacing the motor of any household vacuums / Carpet Cleaners (Shampoo'ers, too) you use otherwise. : ) But I can guarantee, if you this whatever your infestation is bed bug, flea, carpet beetle, etc your home will be free of these devils. (it's not nice to your respiratory if it becomes airborne. Like inhaling dust - well, that's the consistency of it.) So don't leave it set longer than a day. I had no choice. I was pooped when I did this. I did the whole house and needed to fall down for a while. Plus knowing this was a 38 year old infestation of fleas, I wanted to ensure I wouldn't be repeating this any time soon. I've seen a respectable builder on yt uses D.E in steps when building new homes or remodeling them. Dusting between the baseboards and floor, wall crevices, and voids.. where 'things' like to try to create homes.. if they get in, they WON'T be getting any further. No smell to this product either. Just be warned, if it becomes airborne, hold your breath until you can get away from the POOF. Great Product! Will be ordering more, shortly! As I partake in remodeling certain aspects of my home, THIS is being used between layers.. edges, borders, under the new carpet being laid, behind appliances, between the cracks before i seal them. ** IF you think you may have 'something' mammal wise creeping around your indoors or outdoors.. try lightly dusting suspected areas with a good coat of D.E. over night. I wanted to see if my cats were walking my kitchen counter or if it was my Staffie standing up and pulling things off the counter.. I got the idea, and it worked wonders. It's amazing how far dogs can reach when they want something. Also, if you have an intrusive neighbor, dusting your area of suspicion will give you the much needed proof as well. My intruder was of the black & white kind with fingers.. Raccoon! Buggers! Biggest tabby non-cats I've ever seen! in my life. But now I know. Happy Experimenting!

Bye bye pest
I love diatomaceous earth it really kills roaches, even though I got the bag with the spreader. I ordered the spreader before I even ordered this product. The spreader I ordered come with a scoop the one in the bag didn’t I love this product to me it seems that the ground up Shellrock was larger than baby powder. I get it safe for animals and people and I love that it kills anything that crows

Safe, easy to use, and very effective
I live in Arizona and have the yuckiest bugs here! Bugs don't stand a chance with this powder! This bag is huge and will last me a few years. Comes with a "poofer" that's what I call it. The poofer makes it very easy to apply the powder around your home, yard, garden, houseplants, and even inside your home. This is a food grade product so it's safe for humans and your fur babies! It's so much cheaper, safer, and more effective than bug sprays or products used by pest control companies. Keeps all the spiders, sewer roaches, ants, plant gnats, and scorpions away without worrying about you child or fur baby's safety!

Safe, effective, and, well, a bit messy
Diatomaceous Earth, food grade, is good stuff. You can use it for a good many things around the house and it will not hurt your pets, cats in my case. Helps get rid of fleas, and any other creepy crawlies that wanna come in. Just be aware, this is a dust that you spread around, so be prepared for a bit of a mess that you need to leave alone for a good few days at least, depending on what your using it for. Also, because it is super fine, it will get onto everything. So you will likely see a fine layer of this dust coating shelves, electronics, etc. I really do like the product and the applicator helps getting the powder into smaller places. Just use with care around anything you don't want powder on and it won't last long outside, so indoor use for this mainly..

Nontoxic insect killer
Harris diatomaceous earth is my go-to for bug control. I even use it to sprinkle on the community cats dry food as it helps with intestinal parasites & also keep all areas of food & water for the animals dusted with this amazing product. Some companies even sell “upgrades” as intestinal tune-ups for humans! Just start with 1/4 teaspoon & increase to 1 teaspoon/day in a smoothie/juice/coffee but be warned, it tastes gritty like drinking dirt. Make sure to drink plenty of water! Always make sure it is food grade when using it for self or pets! Diatomaceous earth works by cutting into an insects waxy body (dust edges are sharp) & drying it out within 24 hours! Be carefully not to use it around bees! Recently I found a dried out husk of a stink bug! Yay! No smell, no odor! If you have dust allergies and/or are using a lot at one time, wear a mask! It may dry your hands, so hand lotion is recommended. I have been using Harris diatomaceous earth for at least 8 years and I highly recommend it.

We have five large GSDs and we found with over the years using Diatomaceous Earth (DE) is very effective as flea control, both with putting it on the dogs’ coats and on their dog pillows and yes couch too. We use the DE internally and intermittingly both for us and dogs since it is a natural detoxifying agent and improves joint, bone and ligament health. We found it beneficial too for improved skin, nails and teeth. DE is supposed to help control parasites and work as a dewormer too. In the vegetable garden and flower beds it can kill slugs and aphids and even ant hills. ( However it can also destroy benefical insects as well like bees and do not apply direct to flowers). It also serves as a household cleaning product: scrubbing power . As with using any “supplement” please investigate especially if using internally and advise your doctor or vet. We have just listed a few examples of how we are using DE and there is a lot more ( sprinkle in kitty litter or chicken coops, over DIY remedies, etc). We like being able to use an natural organic products rather than a chemical ones whenever possible. Please ensure that the product is food grade as this one is and note the powder can irritate the eyes and lungs when applying so take necessary precautions. We like the ideal that this shipment came with a duster which work amazing well when putting powder deep into dogs coats. However can still be a bit dusty and messy and best to do outside. Duster is also help to apply to difficult areas like entrances into hornets nest and ant hills and into other cracks and crevices. The reason we give this DE product 4 out of 5 rating is because of it comes in comes in a bag with a Ziploc closure which does not work well at all. Ziploc zipper gets clogged with fine dust making it almost impossible to seal. We ended up having to move this product to plastic cover pails both for ease of access in the future plus overall better storage protection. That we had to do that outside and wear mask since it was a very dusty job. In the past with buying other DE products we had received them already in a heavy duty plastic pail with air tight lid which was very handy. The best way for Harris Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade product to improve is to reconsider its packaging format since the zipper seal c bags does not work well at all.
