Not Real Silk
The fabric is cheap and it rips. Unfortunately, I had a terrible incident with one of theses. I had slept with my fine curly hair tied up with one of these in a loose bun. When I went to take it out, the fabric on the scrunchie ripped and my hair knotted around the elastic. For an hour, I tried to get the knot free. It was on the back of my long hair and it was so knotted, I finally had to, gulp, cut it out! I lost almost 6” of hair! It was uneven and horrible! I would NEVER BUY these again or recommend. My stylist did the best she could to salvage my hair but I was so traumatized. It was not as if my hair was in bad condition or knotty, it was just dumb luck that my scrunchie ripped.

Not quite as advertised
Not as expected unfortunately. I was hoping they'd be classy. The strings show on all of them. Where they're seen up the end of the fabric shows. It's not exactly what I was hoping for. They'll do. I'll just have to try to hide that part when I want to wear them.

Very little stretch/hold
These might work to loosely hold thick tightly curled hair, braids, or dreads but the elastic inside the satin has almost no stretch to it. This is definitely a case on getting what you pay for. It's pretty much what I expected for the price, but was hoping to be pleasantly surprised. I have medium-thick wavy-curly Caucasian hair and these scrunchies just slid right out unless I struggled to make an extra loop and they were so tight it defeated the purpose of protective hair products.

Is it really silk?
The label says "silk" but I can't for sure say that it is... I didn't expect much for $5 but, I probably could have gotten them at the dollar store for less.

Overall good, but they ripped pretty quickly.
I love using these in my hair, so cute and works well. My hair is long and there’s a lot of it so I have to use two to tie my hair in a bun, but worth it. The only thing with these is they rip after just a couple weeks of use. I wish they lasted a little longer. They do come in a pack though so would still get again and would recommend them!
