I want to do a rectangular table, would 1 500 ml jar be enough? Going from light to black... standard rectangle dining table...

I used about half of a 500 ml jar to put two coats on an Adirondack chair. Not sure if that helps or not.

I want to use this to paint wooden kitchen cabinets. Do I have to do anything other than cleaning the cabinets before painting?

As long as you have cleaned them so they are free from grease, dirt and debris you are good to go. However, I would recommend applying a coat of ultra grip first and then I would also recommend using the tough coat sealer to give it that added level of durability and protection.

im looking for a high gloss lacquer look , how can i get it with this paint

I have found fusion paint products really easy to use. They have poly coatings called tough coat. I have used their matte finish and was very satisfied. You could put the tough coat on with a brush a sponge or a cloth. I used a sponge and it turned out great. They also have a gloss finish but I have never tried that one as it wasn't the finish I was looking for on that project. You would just have to try it unless someone else has used it and wants to weigh in on it.
