I used this to install sound deadening in my car doors. The wooden handle is a nice size and shape to hold on to. The roller is hard plastic with sturdy metal parts. There was no flexing or straining under pressure.

I use this when foundation piecing a quilt because it allows me to flatten out my seam instead of going to the ironing board so many times for just one block. I will press the entire block when I have finished so that all of my seams lay nice and flat when sewing the blocks together. This is a fast option when your seams are short. I only do them with the roller up until 6" then I use the iron for seams bigger than that.

You get what you pay for. The plastic connection to the axle is very thin and broke after a few uses. No way to repair it. Look for a higher-cost option to save yourself the hassle of replacing this.
