Quality Park 11-1/2" x 14-1/2" Clasp Envelopes, Brown Kraft, Gummed Flap, Heavy 32lb, 100/Box (QUA37805)

I'm a Loan Signing Agent that deals with 150 to 200 pages of documents. When I complete a loan signing I give a copy of the docs to the clients. These envelopes are perfect for holding up to 200 pages of legal and letter comfortably. A regular size legal envelope will not do that easily.

Quality Park QUA37805's are made in America, seem to be heavy stock, but 13 had flaws in glue that you can see from the photos. The bottom of some of the 13 envelopes glue seal are not glued at all and wide open. It appears that glue is there but did not stick for some reason. Some of the 13, the vertical seams are not sealed in places and open all the way to the inside of the envelope. I will keep them because they are heavy duty thick paper stock 32 pound. The quantity and price was right.If a person mails anything with these, I would use shipping tape on all glue seems. Even the ones that look good just to be safe. I'm not doing a destructive test to see how much force it takes to bust one open. I don't get paid to do that. With any of the Kraft/manila type envelopes no mater who makes them, I use shipping tape on all seems, edges, to make sure USPS or whomever doesn't bust them apart.I will use them mostly for filing at home and occasionally mailing documents that add up to be thick because of sheets of paper count.To get around the USPS metal, bendable extra charge, I cut off the metal clasp tabs.Mead sells large Kraft envelopes without metal clasps, but they are more expensive and not as thick in stock weight, but glued better.Other than that, the Quality Park, QUA37805s are good.

Just opened up our new box of envelopes - a good number of them aren't glued at the bottom so stuff will fall out, a good number of them are so overglued down the center that the extra adhesive sticks to other envelopes leaving tears on the ones they are stuck to, and then there are some with no adhesive in the center so that the envelopes are only adhered at the very bottom. This is not what I've come to expect from Quality Park envelopes.

These are great envelopes. They are much sturdier than normal clasp envelopes. This strength is my biggest weakness when it comes to using them because I mostly use them to ship things out. Due to the heavier material and better craftsmanship, the envelopes weight about 2 to 3 tenths of an ounce more than "normal" clasp envelopes. I didn't take any stars because it is not a knock on the product but if you are using these to ship items, be aware they are a few tenths of a ounce heavier which can alter your shipping cost if you go over to the next full ounce.

Geez, how hard is it to get an envelope right. The flap should fold and the clasp should hold it. Fail on both counts.They didn't score the flap sufficiently, so it's difficult to fold and ends up folding not on the scored line, so it's off kilter. The clasp literally falls off if you try to use it.Two stars are really a gift. It's reasonably thick and decently priced. But we're counting the days when we run out of these and can order something else. Years ago, this brand stood for quality. Quite a letdown. We will not be ordering this again.

Perfect! I mistakenly ordered a package of 30 envelopes for virtually the same price as this offer for 100 envelopes but Amazon kindly refunded me the price and I reordered these. Very, VERY happy camper here. You cannot go wrong for the money. Every week I mail the newspaper comics and crossword puzzle from the daily print newspaper to my 91 year old mom who decided the daily paper is beyond her budget (it isn't...) and this offer is a great budget purchase.

I have no complaint about the envelopes, although I have yet to seal them, and since I'll be sending them, it's not likely I'll know how well they survived their trip through the mail. I just wish I hadn't had to buy ONE HUNDRED of them. Since none of our local stores sell envelopes this large, my buying options were limited.

Exactly what I needed. I often ship out items that are 9" in length and these 9.5" x 6.5" envelopes are perfect. They fit great inside them without much play. The thickness is nice and sturdy and don't have to worry about it being flimsy. The clasp and glue adhesive holds strong and have not had any casualties during shipping. All around a great product.
