Make sure you understand how to connect your camera to the device.
Works great and simple to use.

I love it!!
Works for my Canon EOS M6. I just have to change my settings so it works. I absolutely love this!! Also. When you turn camera off and turn it back on.. you do have to adjust your setting again and turn “Self-timer/Remote ctr” on. Other then that no complaints.

Doesn't work
This is either defective of does not work as promised on a Canon EOS 7D Mark 2 camera. Followed the directions and even tried different new batteries... Returned the first one just in case it was defective but the second one did not work either. I'll go with a wired one in the future.

Simple device, works as advertised
This is a simple push-button device. The most difficult thing about using it is installing the included battery, and that wasn't hard. Set your camera for "remote," point the device and push the button, and you're taking pictures.

Simple, effective, obscure
I bought this for my Nikon D610 which uses an expensive Nikon remote control. The item arrived with instruction manuals in Chinese and French; not my languages. I downloaded the English manual from the JJC site. My usage for this control is time-delayed bracketed exposures. In "bulb" mode, this control can be made to work satisfactorily for timed release, so it's good. Fitting the connection into the camera requires more force than I think appropriate. A good value for the money. I'm not sure why the review panel includes "autofocus"; I do not perceive that functionality in this control.

Works with Nikon D3400 & D7500
Out of the box, it just works. It took only seconds to configure both cameras to receive infrared shutter release signals from the JJC Wireless Infrared remote control. Range is great for my needs. The size is small enough that I can easily hide the JJC in my hand as I take selfies. I have not had the remote long enough to determine battery life or durability but I expect it to last for several years.

Nikon D3300 works great.....
"The picture is just for reference. Didn't use flash or tripod (sitting on the counter) and it was cloudy out so they are dark" Works great once I figured out what I needed to do for my Nikon D3300. We will see really how far It will go distance-wise when the camera is on a tripod and I am on or with a horse. For set-up, I went to release mode (bottom right stacked squares) move to 2s, and pressed OK. Pictures are inside at 12,24, and 5ft. Considering this item is only 8+change it is a handy dandy item to have. Just for reference the remote at no time emits a light red or any other color. So it's hard to determine if it's your inability to program your camera to the proper settings or if this doo·dad is not working.

Remote Shutter
This product arrived in a timely manner. It is my first time using a remote for my camera shutter, but having Pentax camera bodies, it works as intended on both bodies. It is small and, I imagine could be lost fairly easy if one is not careful. However, after installing the included 2032 coin battery and putting the camera in the proper shooting mode, it worked as it should. Haven't tested the range beyond a few feet yet, but I can see where it would be preferable to a group shot rather than using a timed shutter and running to get in place. The price was great compared to similar remotes in this category. I would definitely recommend and purchase again should the time arise.

I've had this for a short while now, and it still works great! I haven't needed to change the batteries yet, either. If your camera is compatible, don't worry about this remote's low price, it'll work great! I'll probably lose it somewhere before it gives out, since it's quite compact.

Works as expected. Not sure why it's getting some bad reviews but I suspect it's because the users don't know how to set their camera to work with it. Just what I needed at the price I wanted to pay. Totally recommended.
