Ok but for one smartass bird
Fitted to TV aerial by using epoxy resin glue and tie wraps. Coupled with playing around with ladders and having to fit the spikes whilst still on top of the ladder I was hoping for spectacular results for all the hard work fitting. So, ladders packed away, I turned round to admire the handiwork. Just in time to see a blackbird land in between the spikes somehow. The rascal saw me staring with my mouth wide open, when it give a smug tweet and flew off! WTF. As long as he doesn't tell his mates how he did it I'll be ok with one smug bird. We've cleaned the patio area from a weeks worth of bird dung now time will tell if this will keep the birds away (apart from one devious blackbird)##UPDATE## After a few months of observations it is noted the spikes have certainly moved the problem starlings and pigeons onto the neighbours aerial. The only problem is the occasional small bird like goldfinches can actually perch on the tips of a spike! However they can only do this if there is no wind as it requires precision flying and is usually far too much trouble for them.

works with my cat(!)
review for Defenders Bird Spikes=======================I actually bought this for my full tower pc (!?) Yes sounds mad, but I have fans blowing hot air out at the top of the pc and the cat has started to treat it like her own personal air jacuzzi at the detriment to the pc fans. I was intitially a little worried she might still try and still jump on and hurt herself, but apart from some very dirty looks from the cat, works a charm. .The spikes come in small strips which can be snapped into smaller peices as required. Also supplied with small plastic clips.

So far so good, no pigeons have pooped on the swings since ...
Installed above our swings in the garden in less than 15 minutes. We opted to use screws instead of the supplied clips as it was being attached to a wooden beam. So far so good, no pigeons have pooped on the swings since they were installed!

Keeping the pidgeons off my TV aerial
We had a major problem with Pidgeon poo on the patio right outside the door as my TV aerial overhangs the roof. I bought these to try and stop it. They worked perfectly. I didn't use the adhesive that came with it, but it does look as though it would do the job. I attached these with cable ties and it is holding very firmly. Would recommend.

Perfect
Trouble with a crazy crow attacking its' reflection in my lounge window. Used bathroom sealant to stick the rows of spikes to my UPVC window ledge. Because they are clear plastic then they do not look too obvious. Hated having to resort to this but pecking very early morning was driving me mad! Drastic, but seems effective, no attacks as yet. Cost about £20 for a bay window - pack of 3 + post.
