This cat door fit perfectly into my window and was fully adjustable to fit into an ideal position. The sturdy construction goes far to alleviate concerns about security. I was torn in deciding between a permanent cat door built into a wall or door versus this option, and am thrilled at the good quality without the commitment of having to put a permanent hole into a door or wall. My cats have been entering repeatedly over the past five months and the door shows minimal wear and tear. I had to tape the door open initially as the cats were "discovering" their new entrance, but they soon had things figured out. I was worried that raccoons might enter from outside, but have had good luck so far (I haven't used the out-only door lock option, but it's there). While I don't believe the cat flap is sufficiently insulated to be left installed over the Canadian winter, the spring-loaded design means it will be simple to remove and reinstall as the weather changes. Note that the springs are quite strong and those with low upper body strength may require assistance to install.

This is a fantastic, well-made solution for us, living in a building with no ability to install a conventional cat flap. Due to having wooden sash windows, which are thicker than the product, we added 2 small pieces of wood to wedge it in place within the frame, which was easy to do. (I also secured my window by putting a removable pin/screw that stops the sash being opened) We could only fit it in our side window as our main windows are too wide. It sits within the frame well. We left off the draft excluding piece, preferring the very tiny gap as ventilation. Our 6kg cat uses it with no problem.

Very happy with the quality, easy to install, very secure. Just set it up so cat hasn’t used it yet. Will update the review with regular use.
