Short Pool Cue Stick – Hardwood Canadian Maple Pool Sticks for Billiard Table Sports

This cue is a excellent value at the $25 I paid for it on sale. I bought the brown pattern and it looks very nice and the build quality is at least as nice as name brand entry level cues. Its straight and plays naturally because its properly weighted unlike a lot of shorter cues. The weight is also removable if you'd like to change it. The tip is quite hard but shapes ok and holds chalk decently. only odd thing is mine makes a "TINK" sound while shooting. I'm not sure if that's normal or not for this cue but you get used to it.

First it takes a little while to screw the two sticks together. Second, it is a comfortable heavy 23 oz cue stick with a quality breaking tip with good Canadian maple makes this a good breaking stick and cue stick to keep in the bag. I use a 19oz low refectory stick as my companion.

I picked up two of these for about 12 bucks a piece and they're worth $12. When they're regular price 30 or $40 you might want to look elsewhere. I've been using them exclusively as breaking sticks and they seem to be fine the shafts and tips are wide probably 14 mm.

I got tired of hunting up a break cue in the local halls and having to depend on a stick that may or may not be in very good condition and so I decided to get a break cue of my own. After reading reviews I felt comfortable enough to buy this stick. It's well-made and straight. It has a strong joint. 23 ounces. It feels good. I do not like the hard,hard tip as it has led to loss of cue ball control on the breaks, at least for me. If you like hard tips you'll love this one. It is thick so there is plenty of room for shaping. I glued a 13mm Elkmaster tip on this evening and expect to be a lot happier with breaks. It might be Canadian maple but is made in China. At least they got something right with this stick.

This 42” 2-piece cue is great. At 17oz it feels heavy which I like. But it’s also very well balanced. It definitely feels and plays like a like a full sized cue. You’ll see in the attached video that it rolls perfectly straight. The tip is fairly hard but takes to a shaping tool well, and takes chalk well after shaping to your liking. The designs available are very nice, classic pool cue styles. I had a hard time choosing but went with brown/black and I’m very happy with my choice. I had previously ordered a cheaper 42” cue but it was too light even after adding weight. It played OK but did not feel good. This cue is well worth the extra $10-$15. I highly recommend this.

I highly recommend this cue. It is solid and lets skilled players make their shots without being frustrated due to space limitations. We liked the cue so much that we ordered a second one. The room that our table is in has some tight areas and of course that tends to be where half the shots end up being taken. A friend of ours is very skilled and before we got this cue he was extremely frustrated trying to play with the other cues that we had. With this cue he can now completely control the cue ball and when a full sized stick could be used almost forgot to change back to it. This is a small sized cue that has the weight that you need in order to control your shots. Definitely a buy and a great deal for the price.

I bought this short stick because the rec room is too small on the sides. I was a little apprehensive that the butt of the stick would be too narrow, and would feel like I was playing carrom's. That is NOT the case with this stick. The stick feels good on the hands and has a nice weight to it. The quality of the stick is excellent too! Now I don't have to think about moving the wall, to widen the room. On a scale of 1-10, this stick, in my opinion, is a 10 1/2! It's good to see that product quality is still alive and well.

Several reviewers mention a leather tip; perhaps the mfg changed the product recently. Mine arrived, May 2019, as pictured on Amazon, with a long, hard, phenolic resin tip. It is a great break cue. Total Weight 23.25 oz., clearly within advertised specification. Incidentally, I have tested break cues up to 32 oz, and find that the extra weight is offset by loss in acceleration; for most players, the best break cue would likely be 15oz to 24 oz., depending on agility. I have also noticed that with age, I need a heavier break cue. Since the energy imparted to the cue ball is proportional to the square of the velocity, many younger players might benefit from a lighter break cue, allowing them to accelerate to a higher velocity when striking the cue ball. Incidentally, if you have never tried breaking with a light weight cue, find a 15oz house cue with a hard tip, chalk it a bit, and try it; you might be pleasantly surprised.
