Are these chewable hard or soft?

They are hard but cut fairly easily but not a clean cut. I bought them to see if they would help control my Chi from licking her feet. She is 6 lbs and gets 1 pill daily so the bottle will last 4 months. I won't be buying any future bottles after 4 months because I am not seeing any change. I read the company has some sort of money back guaranty but haven't looked into yet. I think you have to use it for a year. I did try giving my Chi an extra half pill a day for about 10 days but no change so went back to just 1 pill. Apoquil does work for her but I was hoping a supplement would work instead. I didn't expect it would though. I tried. Hope this helps. I would say try it but don't expect a cure.
