Dremel Max Life EZ545HP 1-12" (38.1mm) Diamond Cutting Wheel

Used this tool to cut a notch in a brick mortar joint. Worked well!

When Contractors failed me by not doing work or messing up jobs they were paid to do, Max Life Bit Transformed my Dremel from a craft tool into an Essential Power Tool. This + wood cutter + drum sander are my top 3 I used.Used when had to figure out how to install Very Expensive Tub Liner, Cut & trimmed All Ceramic tile for backsplash + made curved tile to hide countertop first contractor messed up, angled Shinto Gate topper, angled / cut trim. It cuts laminate, even makes the tiny pieces to fill gaps with.Price not in line with other Dremel Pricing, or would've bought more frequently.Thank Goodness for the amazing Home Depot employee who showed this to me when I bought my first one.

With a tiny bit of water stream from the sink, I was able to complete 15+ custom and intricate cuts for a new kitchen backsplash. I don’t know what I would have done without this.

Works on tile and seems durable enough to cut many feet of tile. It won't last forever but will get the job done just fine. It's expensive for what it is but that seems the standard and I'd rather go with this than the knock offs that might not last.

Where to start? I needed to cut tile. And I am not someone who owns many big power tools. But I had a Dremel..a really old Dremel. Researched, bought a Ryobi diamond bit and mandrel. It cut just fine, but it was extremely questiknable in the safety area, as it would loosen with every cut. Google didn't give any real answers except that the Dremel version is better. So I bought the Dremel Max Life wheel and mandrel at my local Ace. Oh. My. What a difference. Like a hot knife through buttah'. I cut through a 6 foot stretch of 1.5" tiles (NOT through the mortar). I salvaged a 10 pieces of vintage tile from the 1.5" of cement it was on. Cut Durock with it. I did finally wear through all the diamond, but it got the job done. So here I am ordering another one because, wouldn't you know it,I need to repair a few more tiles. I can safely say, don't buy the copycat or the knockoff. I'm a big-time pennypincher (I'm salvaging avocado green tile, for crying out loud),but I will buy the more expensive Dremel one every time now!

Cutting mosaic tile, seems to be very well made. No show of wear after numerous cuts. Little pricey but worth it.

Used to make small cuts on porcelain tile for a shower, worked perfectly. I would absolutely buy again if I needed another.

I use the Dremel 4300 and Dremel Max Life EZ545HP for detail work on granite sculptures. The Max Life disc can make intricate linear cuts that a Bosch 4" angle grinder disc can't achieve. Nonetheless, the BOSCH DB442C 4 In. Premium Turbo Rim Diamond Blade last 20 times longer (one Bosch 4" diamond disc can sculpt up to 3 two foot solid granite turtles, owls, Moai, etc.,), AND they run on Amazon for $13 a disc. Thus, the Dremel Max Life is a good disc specifically for the Dremel 4300 series or the comparable Bosch Gro10.8v-li, but the $30 is totally way over priced compared to the bigger and better built angle grinder.

Cuts well. I used it with my Dremel Stylo+. Be sure to have the EZ Lock mandrel. If you are using this to alter precious moments figurines, use safety glasses and a facemask as the little flecks fly off pretty fast.
