Overall, this little gadget is great. I chew my nails pretty badly, so I often have bandaids on my fingers. Cracking eggs normally I often get eggs on my bandaids causing me to have to replace them quicker.I've gone through a couple hundred eggs with this product and haven't smashed one yet. It cracks them very well.A few small downsides. Once in a while I get a small chip or two of eggshell in the pan, but that happens cracking eggs normally, it just means it's not flawless. Secondly, it's not great of you want to keep the yolk intact. The way the metal bit pierce the shell they often also pierce the yolk. I've tried holding the product in different orientations and try to not pierce the shell as much, but it doesn't usually help or work. Lastly, it's not the easiest to clean. The ridges on the inside to the support the egg make it almost impossible to scrub. I have to use a bristled scrubber to get into the crevices.Other than that, great helpful product.
