Some 2012 RAM trucks have remote start, some don't. There are other keyfobs that don't have the 4-buttons for the remote start. They do have the 3-button keyfob for lock, unlock, and alert.

I posted the same question regarding my 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the answers were vague and not very helpful. In the end I decided the price was right and I could live without the remote start feature if I had to. The fobs arrived about a month ago and I just got around to getting them programmed yesterday at a local lock&key shop. I'm happy to report that the fobs perform exactly as the originals, including the remote start button.
