This is the pinnacle of animation on every front visuals, storytelling, thematic material, direction, feeling etc.... . This is one of the best films ever made animation or live Action, in my subjective opinion. If you have seen the first film from Mamoru Oshii you have to watch this one. I love both of these films but Innocence finds an angle that's makes it that much more interesting. Add this piece of art so you can have a potentially spiritual or philosophical experience.

I loved this anime! Interspersed with philosophy quotes, but the action and drama you’d expect. Especially with AI in the news more and more, this was reality thought-provoking. One of the few movies I think are worth watching twice, because you notice more each time.

I prefer the version with subtitles. The voice acting is okay, but it doesn’t have the same impact.

If you liked the first Ghost in the shell movie, then you will love this one! The animation is some of the best I have ever seen in a anime movie. It perfectly combined 2D and computer animation making for a beautiful looking movie. I usually prefer all 2D animated films over computer animated ones, but this film does such a good job blending the two that half the time, I couldn't even tell if some of the characters were 2D or computer animated! The story focuses on the character "Batou" from the first movie and how he is dealing with the departure of his partner "The Major". It starts off as sort of a detective film with Batou trying to figure out why certain service androids are going crazy and killing their owners, but by the end delves into some seriously deep philosophical questions on life. Now if you don't care for deep philosophical arguments that require you to really think hard, then stay away from this movie at all costs. This movie has so many different metaphors and deep symbolism that it makes the first movie look symplistic by comparison. That said, the story is still very entertaining. The characters were interesting and all animated very well(extremely well actually), the art direction in it is just freakin beautiful to watch. If you don't believe me, just watch the trailer to this movie on line. Every scene in this film just looks beautiful! A downside for some people is that the character from the first movie "The Major" is not in this one all that much except for the very end. We do get a lot more character development on Batous character though which is nice to see(turns out, Batou was a pretty likable character). The action sequences sprinkled throughout were all done very well, and the world in which this movie takes place in was breathtakingly gorgeous in its design and art direction(think of the city from blade runner). Over all, this is a great Science fiction anime with some of the best visual animation I have ever seen. The story can be a bit hard to follow at times and defiantly takes multiple viewings to understand everything, but that's what makes it so great. While I didn't agree with all of the movies moral standpoints on humans vs robots, the story itself was still interesting and thought provoking. If you like good deep science fiction like the first movie or if you just want to watch some great animation, than defiantly get this!

Being a big fan of the first movie, I made this purchase after recently rewatching Innocence’s predecessor and wanting to see more of the world. However what I watched did not hold up to what I saw in the original. Some of the scenes were well animated, but the CGI used in many of the foreground shots really drew me out of it and stood in stark contrast to the beautiful 2D animation that helped make the original so popular. Additionally, while Ghost in the Shell is known for its high- concept messages and theming, it never did so to the extent that it went over the heads of the audience. Superb shot composition, repeating thematic concepts, and good character writing bound the themes to the story and allowed the viewer to absorb both more easily. Innocence seems to have put the themes front and center at the expense of the story, and this was probably the thing that caused my negative reaction the most.

Dos miembros de la Sección 9, Batou (un ex-ranger completamente cibernético) y su compañero Togusa (un ex-inspector de policía que está empeñado en permanecer humano, sin ningún implante) deben investigar una serie de crueles asesinatos cometidos por unos robots especiales específicamente diseñados para el sexo ( love slaves ). ¿Por qué esos robots están asesinando sin piedad a sus dueños humanos?. Las pistas llevan a Batou y Tugusa hasta una multinacional de gran influencia (Locus Solus) que fabrica las love slaves . Descubren que estos robots contienen ghosts ilegales , es decir, que una conciencia ha sido duplicada e instalada en cada uno de dichos robots de manera que cada vez que se duplica, se deteriora causando un funcionamiento defectuoso del robot que puede llevar al asesinato. Durante la investigación, descubren también la relación entre Locus Solus y la Yakuza y los motivos ocultos para la fabricación de esos robots. Pero esta vez, algunos androides tienen ghost (aunque se lo hayan puesto de manera ilegal). Mientras el ghost está bien preservado, es difícil distinguirlos de los humanos robotizados. Cuando el ghost se deteriora, se convierten en asesinos implacables que deben ser apresados y destruidos.Un aspecto que explora Innocence es que en un mundo superpoblado, hay personas que se sienten tan solas que compran un robot de aspecto femenino con ghost para que les sirva de compañera, amiga y amante. ¿Qué distingue a esos robots de una persona? tienen sentimientos que son capaces de expresar como cualquier otra persona. De hecho, no hay nada a primera vista que los haga diferentes a un ser humano. Incluso hay robots que ni siquiera se sienten como robots, que se ven a si mismos como personas, de ahí el título de la película, Innocence .Otro aspecto, que ya se trató en la primera película y que aquí se profundiza, es el hecho de que una vez una persona se ha convertido en cyborg, aún conservando su ghost corre el riesgo de que sus recuerdos y sus sueños se vean alterados (por un hacker, por ejemplo) y entonces, ¿qué queda de la persona que fue en origen? ¿Cómo distinguir lo que es auténtico de lo que ha sido implantado artificialmente?En la búsqueda de la inmortalidad, ¿seremos los humanos capaces de cruzar la línea que nos separa de las máquinas y nos decantaremos por almacenar nuestra conciencia en un cibercerebro aún a riesgo de perder nuestra humanidad, de dejar de ser quién somos, de dejar de tener conciencia de nosotros mismos?En resumen, esta película me ha parecido más compleja que Ghost in the Shell puesto que profundiza en las cuestiones planteadas en la primera película y plantea nuevas preguntas cuya respuesta se vislumbra a lo largo de la película, pero que en último término, queda para el espectador . The missing features do not stop the fact this is an amazing anime movie. What bothered me is the first movie on disc one is printed on an older disc type like some rare blue rays, and my Xbox series X, just like my Xbox One years ago the second laser lens for reading older disk types broke, so I couldn't watch the first movie on my series X. (This is Microsofts fault) but let's not forget that if this was a true blue ray it would have had the extras, meaning it would have worked for me because they would have had to have used a newer disc type for the extra memory data. End of the story is, amazing movie, crap and false advertising print.

Arrivato per tempo e in ottime condizioni, questo titolo è semplicemente esemplare.Qualità video e audio eccellenti, ma non è solo questo a renderlo tutt'oggi attuale.Pochi aspetti ti fanno capire che è stato realizzato quasi 20 anni fa, perché per il resto è semplicemente un'opera che rimarrà infissa nello scorrere del tempo senza mai mancare di sollevare questioni che magari non vogliamo affrontare così a spada tratta, ma che inevitabilmente ci toccheranno.Molto più di un "Anime", e molto più di un "Film".Da definire quasi un vero Manifesto di un'umanità che tendiamo ad ignorare, ma anche a voler preservare e comprendere.

Ottimo prodotto, arrivato in tempi brevi.Per gli amanti di Ghost in the shell non può mancare nella collezione.Bello il doppiaggio in italiano.Consigliato a tutti
