Fatheads rejoice!
I have a a big head, most of the time most XL MTB helmets fit, no problem, but when it comes to rafting, I've had the hardest time finding a lid for my fathead. Thankful I took a chance on this Triple Eight Gotham Water Helmet. It fits perfectly, and is comfortable even after 3 hours on the river! I need to get the ear covers for it for winter river runs, I thought it came with them, apparently, it does not. But besides that, I would recommend this helmet to all my fellow big head river rats!5 Stars!

great quality watersports helmet
I've had this helmet for about 5 years and it held up nicely with a fair amount of use with windsports (windsurfing and wingfoiling). I put a GoPro mount on the top, which stayed on for over 2 years. I recently bought a second one because the one I'd had for 5 years was slightly too small - my fault - and I was happy enough with my first one that I just bought a new one of the same in the next size up. The only long-term issue I found was that the zipper for the foam insert got corroded from salt water exposure, but I don't blame the manufacturer for that.

Nice Helmet
It wasn't for me, but was the best of all the helmets I tried in the $50 range. I would recommend sizing up. I went with a Gath that was 3x the cost. But if the Gath didn't fit as great as it does, this was going to be my pick, just one size up.

Only challenges the helmet once so far but it worked great
Great for park wakeboarding. Wore it today. Comfortable good fit. Make sure to measure your head don’t guess your size.

Son had staples in his head now. Helmet is too short in back.
My son jumps in a ski show. After jumping many times in the summer, this time his skis landed in the water and one hit him in the back of the head. The helmet did not protect his head from the ski hitting it. It is too high up on the head and does not protect you. He was not able to ski at the End of Season ski show due to this injury. This helmet is not safe.
