Look at the writing samples
The name midnight blue and the color sample of that maroon and blue inkspot are deceiving. Look at the writing samples in the reviews - it's a medium teal color, not midnight and I see absolutely no Evidence of red. The ink does smudge, so you need to let it dry, and water spots blur the ink. It doesn't claim to be bulletproof though. Just make sure the color you want is the color in the review samples and you should be fine. I was initially convinced the wrong ink was sent, it was that different from what I expected.

I LOVE Noodler's Ink and will continue buying more
I LOVE Noodler's Ink and will continue buying more, BUT, I had just purchased "blue" and I wanted something darker, so I bought "midnight blue" and it is exactly the same color. I would always give this company a 5 star rating because the ink is great and the price is great. I bought the :hHeart of Darkness: black ink and love it. Also, be careful when opening the jar, they fill it to the brim (which is good for the buyer) but if you get that stuff on you it takes some real effort to get it off...

A rich dark blue, almost blue-black
The color is nice. I haven't tried it with water so I can't comment on water resistance. I like it enough I bought two bottles. Sheerness doesn't apply to this product.

Best Ink Ever
Ink: a throwback to an earlier time when we communicated with others by handwriting notes and letters. Now, it seems the only thing requiring an ink pen is your signature. Sad, because, a note written by hand is so much more personal. I keep a handwritten notebook on my experiments, and use a regular fountain ink pen.One thing I noted with Noodlers ink is the way it flows. The pen never touches the paper, it floats above it. Other inks skip, not Noodlers. This is my favorite color. It has great hold out, good depth and covers nicely. I don't get skips, and I like it when I can float the pen above the paper.Like I said, throw back. But a good one...

So petrol they should sell this in a gas station
So you want Lamy Petrol ink but you can't get any because few of it was produced and it sold out? Get this.Seriously, I have this in my Lamy Safari in petrol because it more resembles the pen than Lamy Petrol ink does. How can that be true, you ask? Well, this has no sheen unlike petrol, it it always looks like the petrol colored pen.

It's dark blue!
Midnight Blue = dark dark blueOut of the Noodler's inks, I had a rough time finding a dark blue that I liked until I used Midnight Blue. It's blue and dark. Flows well in my Lamay pens.Stay away from Noodler's Midnight Blue. I got two bottles and they were dark forest green.

Very Dark Ink
First let me say this ink is high quality and works fine. It is however a little darker than the pictures show. Also be very careful when opening. My guess is that these bottles are filled by hand or by a old machine because mine was filled past the brim and when i started to open the cap the came pouring out everywhere. Open over a sink and hope that you do not have a job interview of big meeting coming up because your hands ARE going to be blue.
