Build new window screens or repair damaged screen frames with Prime-Line Aluminum Screen Frame Material. Designed for custom screen fabrication, these durable aluminum frame pieces provide a dependable solution for replacing worn, bent, or missing window screens without the expense of purchasing complete pre-assembled units. Ideal for residential screen repair projects, the frame material can be paired with a variety of screening fabrics, including standard fiberglass, aluminum, pet-resistant, and solar screen materials. Constructed from durable 0.020 in. thick aluminum with a white finish, each frame section measures 72 in. long and is engineered with a slight outward camber. This intentional curvature helps prevent inward bowing once screen fabric is installed and stretched, resulting in a stronger, more professional finished screen. The thicker spline channel design provides added rigidity and support for improved screen durability. This package includes twenty 72 in. frame pieces and is designed for use with Prime-Line MP7729 5/16 in. x 3/4 in. square-cut plastic frame corners (sold separately). Recommended spline sizes are 0.185 in. for fiberglass screen, 0.165 in. for aluminum screen, and 0.155 in. for solar and pet screen materials. Review: I'm glad I was lazy - Shipment arrived without issue, well packaged. Although it was delivered by one of the same day drivers not a delivery company. At first glance they match the ones I got at the box store. Honestly the box store was a bit cheaper but I was to lazy to go get more. I'm glad I was lazy! Outside form is exactly the same, however the inside part where the spline goes. Is substantially thicker for support. See picture the top is from the box store. Only complaint you can tell these are cut fast, the ends are a bit rough. No issue for me, I'm doing 45 degree cuts, so that will go away. Tip don't waste your time with the plastic corners go get a miter box, do the 45 degree corners and use the metal corner brackets. The plastic give not strength, bent my first one trying to install it. The plastic corners let it twist and turn.
