KitchenAid HAND BLENDER - CLASSIC - ONYX BLACK 5KHBV53BOB

When I bought this, I was expecting to get something quite basic, as this is Kitchen Aid's cheapest hand blender. I was wrong about that. You get the blender and a useful measuring pot but it is a substantial blender about 18 inches long with real weight to it, supplied in high quality packaging. The quality of manufacturing is exceptional. It should come as no surprise that Kitchen Aid's cheapest blender is better than the best blender from lesser manufacturers. It is variable speed and the metal ends of the blade guards come with a removable plastic guard so that you don't scratch the inside of metal bowls. The motor is silky smooth. I have had hand blenders that feel like pneumatic road drills in your hand but this hardly has any vibration at all. The blades are scary sharp! A downside is that it seems to only be avaiable in black, but that is a minor gripe. So while you don't get all sorts of attachments and gadgets with this model, what you do get is an excellent hand blender from a premium manufacturer for a really great price.

I should have bought the KitchenAid Hand Blender much earlier instead of wasting money on cheaper versions. It is powerful, easy to use and feels really solid in the hand. Everything blends smoothly and quickly making cooking so much easier. Absolutely worth the investment. I would not go back to any other hand blender now.

I bought this to make smoothies instead of one of those personal blenders which never seem to last for very long. I was a bit sceptical because it only uses 180w of power (KitchenAid specialise in making low wattage motors which are somehow very powerful!) but I have made a few smoothies now with frozen and fresh fruit and have ended up with beautiful drinks each time with only a few strawberry seeds left at the bottom of the glass, which my old, enormous 1000 watt blender used to leave as well. Its really sturdy, easy to clean and the variable speed button is simple to use, even with arthritis. The jug which comes with it is quite small but just big enough to make smoothie for two people and I appreciate the lid that comes with it to store any extra in the fridge. This is one of those "it's expensive but worth it" items!

Yes these are a bit more than most on the market but you get what you pay for. Solid construction variable speed on the trigger and blends wonderfully well. When you use this you know it's been made well and will last.

This is another amazing kitchen aid product. Very strong and durable, use mine primarily for smoothie making and not had any issues. The blade is simple to clean and simple to use, my only reason for 4 stars not 5 is I wish the cable had a cable tie included like the hand mixer, it would make this easier to store when not in use.
