KooKaburra Licorice Black Licorice, 15.4-Pound Package

I have tried all types and brands of black licorice and KooKaburra is my all time favorite. It is great to give to friends and family who are black licorice fans.

This licorice contains fully hydrogenated cottonseed oil something I did not expect to find in a product that is advertised as all natural . I sent them back and had to pay for return shipping. The seller was cooperative and accommodating but the product is deceptive. It is not all natural licorice

My family and I loved the licorice. It arrived in great condition-soft and chewy- and we didn't have to wait long to enjoy it.

Kookaburra black licorice comes in inch-long thick twists that are fairly soft and chewy. (They are definitely firmer than some of the "soft-eating licorice" that is manufactured in Australia.) They have a strong, traditional licorice taste along with a pleasant molasses overtone. I would definitely recommend storing the licorice in a cool, dry place (though not in refrigeration), since if left at a high temperature (75° or above) the twists can become rather sticky. Also, while these twists should stay fresh for several months, they will not stay fresh indefinitely, so I would suggest ordering a smaller quantity than the 15.4 pound case, unless you're planning on going through the entire case in a few months maximum.

Yes, I bought it in the 89 lb box before, but sadly only comes in 15.4 lb now. Stuff is amazing, and other auzie licorice I find or friends give me, is a poor substitute. Oddly, eating it helped me quit smoking several years ago. Need to open a U.S.store.
