Old Souls: The Sages and Mystics of Our World

This book is a great foundation for recognizing, understanding, and interacting with someone (including yourself) who doesn't seem to fit the mainstream mold. "Old Souls" conduct themselves differently in life mostly due to their innate sense of separation from the world combined with their inner experience of everyday life. If you or someone you care about seems to be on a journey to figure out why they are the way they are, or why the journey of life seems so detached from everyone else, this book is a clear and compassionate starting place.

Within the first 3 pages of this book my jaw dropped and I felt an overwhelming sense of joy because the things being described were completely accurate descriptions of me.. I have been told I am an old soul but never did I guess it was the reason behind my intense for-seeing dreams and ability to understand things about this world without even thinking about it and being correct. One night I woke up with the intense realization that everything is connected and that's when I realized I was different thank you so much for writing this book and helping to guide me through path of enlightenment

This book feels like a mirror reflecting my very soul. I am truly and pleasantly surprised I'm not alone. The contributions of others give me proof I'm not alone. And now I feel a bit self-conscious knowing that my feelings are not uncommon (weird, right??).Apologies if this review is not very insightful. It's like trying to tell the plot to a story with many twists and turns that has an AMAZING ending--that offers an even greater plot in the next series. This book is like an affirmation that you're ok and you're on the right track--after you've been wandering around wondering What Am I Doing Here? WHY Am I Still HERE?!?

This is a timely study of a widespread phenomenon until now never considered as the theme for a book dedicated only to this one subject. I really enjoyed it as I've never felt totally at home in this world and always resonated with Terrance McKenna saying, 'culture is not your friend'. My only problem with the book was that it is too short, however Aletheia Luna is to be congratulated on an excellent piece of workHighly recommended!

Some good thoughts are addressed and overall it reads more like a blogpost developed from thoughts on personal experience. For a book it is lacking depth on all levels, too short. Why the author refers to the soul as a 'he' as if it is a male entity creates wonderment. Also, while referring to chakras superficially, a lot could be explored on chakral imbalances and PTSD, leading to an old soul personality manifestation. To say this is the first work published on this subject seems as delusional as the work is lacking profound research--more depth is needed here.

Excellent book. I found myself going 'aha' many times while reading and the concepts were easy to understand. At the end of it all, I found myself wanting more feather than feeling overstuffed.

schizotypal personalities are called old souls, they're more advanced Spiritually because they are introverts that look inward. I just don't see myself that way, we all have strengths and weaknesses. Yes I look beneath the surface at some things and reflect more but I also connect with others less

This is a wonderful book by Aletheia Luna, filled will wonderful insight on being an 'old soul'. Answers many questions for those beginning to discover and explore the deeper levels of self. I've long been a reader of her writings and follow her on Face Book. Love Amazon for their great selection on so many products and awesome prices!

What first appeared to be a promising book was very disappointing in the end. It is as if this “book”, and I use that term very loosely because it is only 100 pages of large typed font, was written by someone still in school… The author covered the subject matter in a very shallow manner and did not provide any additional insight compared to what can be found easily online. I ordered this book because there is not a great deal of literature available on this topic, and was hopeful, but I would recommend you search elsewhere if you are looking for a more serious, informative book.

I chose this excellent rating as this book perfectly exposes "Old Soul" character, make-up & texture within, on a daily basis. Thus, it grounds one's "Old Soul" understanding within the real world. One is constantly amazed to see, &, feel oneself in the expose' that this book expertly delivers. It's really spot-on.Old Souls "know" who they are, i. e. that they are vastly different from the rest of society, &, by implication, what they are. They know this intuitively. This book, in assisting them to identify & confirm this reality, further incorporates an understandable means of using this reality, profitably, within the world in which they live.Thus, it's a very mature "instruction book" for Old / Mature Souls that, frankly, is critically needed by same to navigate themselves forward in this often challenging world.A must-read ... one that is very well-written, simple & intelligently scribed.If you "feel" yourself within this review, buy the book.

I have been searching for clarity on my feelings and thoughts that I’ve had since a child that no one was able to explain to me. I have always been on the outside not understanding this world at all. This book opened my heart and all was revealed. The book is easy to read, enjoyable and answered all my questions. It is an absolute must for anyone who feels lost or alienated in this world. We are not alone there are others like us we are old souls.

I consumed this book in two days mainly due to fact it’s short and written in large font. And unfortunately it ended up in the bin. I could not recommend this book to anyone and in hands of young mind it could lead to wrong assumptions/ believes.I must agree with some reviews the book is very shallow and naive. It have much in common with horoscopes or cold reading, where no matter who is reading will be able to relate in some way and in turn think that book represents himself/ herself or someone they know.

....or even all that interesting. A very disappointing read.
