The install is amazingly easy
After buying multiple dash cams and returning them due to difficult installation issues this was an awesome surprise it really as simple as the video shows. The picture is clear and it even came with a plastic trim removal tool and a small SD card reader. The only difficulty I encountered was connecting with the iphone it’s a little tricky but after a few minutes I got it! Looks factory when done with no external wiring running all over the place! Definitely a recommend buy if your looking for a dash cam for driving and don’t want to pay through the nose!

Easy install and very good quality video
I found the installation very simple and straight-forward. Took me all of about 10-15 minutes. I watched the video x2 and read the enclosed instruction x2 as well. My only difficulty (minor) was connecting it to my phone. I'm not the most tech savvy person, so it did take me a few attempts and again a reread of the enclosed instructions helped. Bottom line in under a 1/2 hour dashcam is fully functional and with a quick trip "around the block" I was able to download the video. Video is very clear including driving from bright sunlight then into my dark garage, camera adjusted well to the change in light and works great. Very clean and have others have noted a very OEM install. I'm hopeful eh camera will last and with only one-day use I'm happy with it!

Amazing but low quality plastic tabs.
So as someone previously stated, it is VERY hard to tuck the wires in without damaging the very weak clips. But it also isn't supposed to sit flush to the windshield (which the oem isn't either). Don't forget to remove the twist tie over the wire harness too. Their instructional video isn't helpful. And I had to watch the old video on Amazon for the rear camera installation. You'll need to purchase an additional clip to attach to the rear headliner as well. And be careful not to touch the glue inside the headliner when tucking the rear camera wire. It's plenty long so you have enough to shove in those junctions. I attached it where the rear windshield wiper comes down and it can see better after the snow storm and salt has coated the back window. The app connectivity was incredibly easy for my Google Pixel to attach to. It does have to be running in order to view on your phone without the sd/reader. The reader has both a USB and USB c attachment which is a HUGE plus. The view is incredible and look forward to having this addition to my 2021 4runner TRD pro. The worry I have is that we did bend both clips while attaching... So when we need a new windshield the operator might break those. I'd rate it higher if the clip plastic was high quality for the money.

Looks great!
East to install, I like the fact that the camera looks like it is standard equipent. Video quality is good. Easy to set up using the UPC codes.

Ridiculously hard to install
The install video doesn't show it but there's little to no space for the adapter cable in the housing. This makes it almost impossible to properly align the tabs to "slide" the housing back into place. The bottom tabs are also very weak and you can break them without even realizing it leaving the bottom (most front) part of the housing loose from the windshield even if you manage to get the top attached around the cord. This looks like a nice design but if I had to do it over I'd just have bought a non "OEM" cam and ran a cord.

Easy Installation and Good Camera Quality
This was the easiest and quickest install ever. Less than 10 minutes. It is on a 2023 Toyota 4Runner. The video quality is clear and license plates are clear, along with rode signs. Very pleased.

Great dash cam so far
Install was a little tricky but after messing with the wire placement, I was able to get it to work. The video quality looks very good and seems to be working with no problems. I love that it fits into the car seamlessly and you can barely even tell you have a dash cam.

stylish, OEM appeal
2021 4runner Likes: installs easily, simple wire connections, looks like it belongs there, no dangling wires, easily wires up to the existing wires without cutting or splicing. not noticeable. dislikes: I had slight issues connecting my android phone but in the end it linked up. the i-phone was simpler. As others stated, the hood is shown more than I would like but it is still very good. Must use the phone to set-up the camera. Suggest one watches the set-up videos all over the net to simplify the install. other notes: the unit I bought is not motion sensitive, IE it does not power up when someone/something walks by. it IS designed to lock the video in case of a crash, not sure how sensitive that is. I am well pleased with the unit and have recommended it to my family. Also, if you wanted to "see" what the camera sees and you have an old phone, you could connect that phone to the wi-fi and have a monitor, just a thought.
