Bacon crisper
So easy to use and clean. Crispy bacon in a few minutes without having to watch. Suggest placing on a cooking sheet to catch the oils. Catch pan is not wide enough

Disappointed: forever to cook and difficult to clean
Doesn’t work as expected. We tried twice just to make sure there wasn’t operator error.Seems simple: out the bacon in, cover in too, cool.Even with thin sliced bacon, took multiple cooking rounds to properly cook the bacon (read long time). It is difficult to clean, so we can’t return it.Disappointed :(

Not as good as others I've had
I had a Nostalgia brand cooker before and this one is a bit different. First drawback is that you can't put it in the dishwasher. You have to clean the teflon surface by hand. The lid that comes all the way off and the grease trap can be put in the washer. The other is that the grease trap is very shallow and wide. So you have to keep an eye on it and be very careful when emptying. Doesn't pour very easy either. If you're saving your grease or trying to dump in a container it can be tricky. No complaints about the quality of the bacon. It has three setting from limp to crispy. I've only used crispy. I can get 5 slices of thick cut bacon on it at once and it cooks much faster than in a pan. Basically set and forget.Where this one may be better than the nostalgia is the teflon surface. On the Nostalgia the teflon started to peel off after so many uses. Maybe the dishwasher damaged it over time so the hand cleaning may be good for extending the life of the unit. On the Nostalgia I think the teflon was painted onto steal plates. Nothing terribly difficult about cleaning the surface, but I'm lazy like that. All of a sudden these things became difficult to find , and some are approaching 200 bucks. At this price point this unit gets the job done just as well, even with the small drawbacks.
