Great looking kettle that is quick to bring to boil. Aussie customers should be aware that you will need a plug adapter. But l am extremely happy with this purchase.

This is a great kettle - can fill up via the spout, ergonomic handle, not too heavy, not too loud and has a useful temperature dial for taking off the boil early for green teas or hot chocolates. The cable/cord can be wound around the base to hide it but I haven't needed to do that as it's not that long of a cable (from leaving the base to the plug, it's about 72cm/28" long). I thought with the fat bottom shape, I would need to put loads of water in and it would take a while to boil but it doesn't at all. It's much much quicker than my last kettle (Russell Hobbs) - it ranges between 1m20s for quickest boil with minimum amount of water (2 cups/600ml) and 3 mins for maximum 1.5l full kettle. It's made of stainless steel which was important to me as a lot of kettle bodies now are made of plastic. It does have some 'plastic' bits on the inside around the water level indicator, temperature gauge and limescale filter but it hasn't tainted the taste of the water. I boiled the kettle a few times before using it for tea and it was absolutely fine. It's BPA free. It comes with a spare limescale filter for the spout. I now see some reviews say the colour peels off or the on/off switch becomes faulty after a few months so I hope that doesn't happen.

This is such a terrible kettle. I wanted it based on its appearance, even though I had read that the switch can go faulty. Well, it arrived at mine on October 2nd, and by the 15th November the switch had given up. I've ordered a new kettle now, and the quality difference between this kettle and my new kettle is massive. I had high hopes for this kettle, but it let me down. It isn't worth the money. So pay a bit extra and get something that actually works after a month.
