It's cheap and it works. As others have said already it is very slow. I have a specific use in mind for retro gaming so that it will only be written to once and then only handle small files/writes. Read speed is fine for what I will need it for. At least the capacity is correct unlike other cheap units. If you are patient enough to wait on long writes or just use as a backup then it is fine. It won't win prizes for speed but the main reason I have rated higher is because it is so cheap and also not a fake capacity claiming to be more than it is.

I have a handful of these knocking around, cost effective functional & most importantly built to last, dropped them stepped on them & had them rattling around in a drawer or bag & they've not let me down

I had to update my sat/nav. I needed a good memory stick and this one did the trick. Downloaded the update and put in my car. Nice. No problems.

Although I was a little sceptical as I'm primarily used to SanDisk USBs, I've had no problems with this Kioxia model, transferring files with ease and using on different machines. The cover is obviously a useful tool to prevent damage.

I buy loads of these for my older family and friends who don't really use the internet or know how to access media. So I fill these sticks up which they can just plonk into their TV or whatever.These are truly excellent value. I usually by the 32GB versions as they are the most compatible with older technology.Yes, the write speeds are really slow for today's standards, but that's to be expected from 2.0. But if you're only doing a one off write to them for permanent storage purposes, then it's hardly worth complaining about.For under £3 for the 32GB version, they're an absolute steal. Highly recommend.

Hoping for a speed demon, but got a Ford Pinto of the flash drive world. Would not buy again. Read speeds good while testing, write speeds chaotic at best. the size is real, not a fake a good point, delivery was realy fast, another good point whit a twist, i buy many usb-key in a years its a workibng tools, but that one is slow, incrediblement slow, at first i did not belivethey still existe, i reformat it, and try again on two desktop a mac desktop too, and two laptop, single home made viseo 1.73 gig four h was the fastest i optain, last night i try aded some 256meg texte, two h that virtuellement impossible to describe the felling of deja vue around the years 2000, whit a old 512k card. surface test that took 8 h last night dont report a single probleme so i will keep its, but from time to time i will still test its, theyre no logic for it to by that slow, not on that size of chip finding the reason why will by an interesting chalenge, thank. One week later, still slow but i too time to test the true speed, 030k sec it is best, on average a 1990 disquette was faster, at 034k sec. still support every test i trow at its bu how can it by that slow......every tech i show the result dont belive its. Facinating product, truly facinating.

Don't waste your money on cheap flash drives, buy this! This is made in Japan, top quality and it works perfectly. I needed to copy files from XP to Windows 10 and no problems. Other flash drives either wouldn't work or failed.Long story short......you get what you pay for. If your data is important to you then this is worth every penny. I will buy a few more of these and throw everything else I have in the garbage.
