NICE, EASY TO USE
Nice unit. Came with everything: batteries, screw driver, case. Instruction are very basic but OK….Seems to be very sensitive to air movement which is good

An interesting and useful item
The media could not be loaded. I really like this Waporich Digital Handheld anemometer. But then again, I am a weather enthusiast, even having a small weather station installed on my property. Here's the thing about that, though: it accurately measures wind direction and speed where it's mounted, but other places on the property have different readings, and it's useful to know exactly what the wind speed is in different areas for purposes such as drone flying, for example. Also, my fixed weather station only transmits wind speed data around every 20 seconds or so, and consequently trying to determine wind gusts isn't very accurate, as often the "snapshot" for the data transmission misses the gust completely. That's why I ordered this model (RQ-100) when I saw it on Amazon. It's pretty inexpensive yet has a good feature set. It measures the wind in what I consider the most common units: miles/hour, KM/hour, and knots. But it also measures in Meters/second and Feet/minute, so regardless of your unit of choice this device will probably have you covered.I appreciate the ability to take real-time wind measurements, and I also love the max speed and min speed functions (which continuously reads the speed and updates the highest and lowest speeds respectively measured in a given time period).as well as the average wind speed function. The unit also displays the ambient temperature in either F or C selectable from the front panel. There is also a backlight for the display so you can easily see the readings in any light level. The device includes a nice zippered storage/carrying case, as well as a wrist strap. I compared the readings from my weather station to the WapoRich and they seemed pretty close from my judgement. The WapoRich actually registered a little lower than the weather station, but that's to be expected because the sensor is mounted on a pole around 10 feet above the ground, while I held the WapoRich much lower than that, with more obstructions being closer to the ground. So why didn't I give the RQ-100 a full five stars? Functionally speaking, it probably deserves that. But I deducted one star for four minor issues that I had (1/4 of a point for each issue): 1) the Anemometer has a bit of a lightweight cheap feel. 2) there is a tripod mount on the bottom of the unit, and that is where the wrist strap attaches. A tripod screws into the hole quite smoothly, but the wrist strap must have poor machining because it only screws in a short distance, and then it starts to feel like it's cross-threading. In fairness, this could be chalked up to an anomaly with my particular unit. 3) this one is especially minor: there is a rubber cover on the back of the unit that looks like it would house a USB-C or Micro-USB port. But in fact, if you remove the cover there is really a port for....nothing. Maybe the same case is used for more than one meter, but this just seemed like a little bit of sloppy design to me. 4) the battery compartment access door is held on with screws (it doesn't just latch in place like most battery doors do. And the screws are TINY. It would be much easier to lose one or both of the screws than it would be to NOT lose them. This con is partially offset because at least the package includes the batteries and a little screwdriver for opening the door. But still, make sure that when inserting or changing the batteries that you are somewhere that if you drop them, you will easily be able to find them.In my opinion, the functionality and features of the WapoRich RQ-100 win out over the annoyances I mentioned. I am still happy with this device, and look forward to it satisfying my weather-enthusiast needs for years to come!

Very sensitive; easy to use.
Will measure wind velocity as low as a slow walking speed. Functions are selected by pressing the appropriate button. There are no menus to sort through - everything is up front. Batteries are included and are easy to install with the included screwdriver. Used to measure wind velocity at the field where we fly model RC planes. It's better than a wind sock. Would recommend as it seems to be a quality instrument, well worth the money.

Auto Shutoff Harms Utility
This anemometer works but it won’t work for my purposes which is my reason for the middling rating. I decided to calibrate it or at as well as I could. The procedure was simple: my wife drives while I hold the device as far out of the window as I can. My take is that it’s easily as accurate as I or any amateur weather watcher could want. At speed, it howls like an air raid siren. It will do all the specifications such as high, low and average as well as temperature although the temperature, supposedly wind chill factor temps didn’t seem to change much with wind speed in my tests. Maybe the humidity was too high or low or something. Please see the images that should post with this review. I got this hoping to measure high and average wind speeds over time. I set the anemometer on a tripod using the ¼”-20 thread that’s on its bottom. However, after a few hours, I returned to find the device shut off. I read the instructions again to learn that there’s an auto shutoff that’s apparently thought of as a feature, not a bug. There’s no way to override this interference. I tested the device to see how long it would run and while I didn’t catch it exactly as it shut off, it never made 25 minutes on. If you’re content with a maximum 25 minute, probably shorter, run time for your average and maximum wind speed this will work for you. I had hours in mind making this device completely useless to me.

Multi-Function, Accurate Anemometer
The Handheld Digital Anemometer is a great addition to my other weather meters. The wind here in central Florida blows from the Atlantic to the Pacific and vice versa sometimes with up to 40+ mph gusts. In fact, my old anemometer that I had on a short pole was damaged by a gust.I can now monitor air flow velocity without risking damage to the unit because it is handheld. I walk outside, push the on button, set the device to MPH, push the button for wind temperature and set to Fahrenheit vs Celsius. I hold the anemometer facing the wind and watch the fan blades turn. Then and later, I can push the Min/Max button to observe the two wind speed values on the LED screen (1 inch wide by 1 3/8 inches tall). I can get the Average wind speed by pushing the Avg button. If it is dark outside, I can push the back light button to read the display.I have found the measures to be accurate compared to online weather reports. This is a great product that comes with a carrying case and a strap handle. Excellent product by WapoRich. Two AAA Batteries are included.

Low quality product
This product is a duplicate one with all the same products on Amazon. I bought two from two sellers, and both are the same. First one it worked for 15 minutes then stopped with reading of flow rate fixed at 0.0. The second one even cannot be lit on with new Amazon batteries. If need an anemometer, I will never buy product with the same appearance as this one.

Sensitive and accurate
This sensor is very accurate and sensitive. We checked the AC air vents along with a lot of other small things like our 3D printers to see how much air flow we are getting to compare various fans on our different machines to see if it was worth changing any of them out or not. We are happy with the data we collected and this tool has proven very useful.

Good transaction
Arrived 1 day earlier than promised. :) Product was exactly as expected with a cheap set of batteries that I replaced with better alkalines. It uses a small screwdriver to screw down the access lid instead of a weather hatch like Garmin uses on their GPSRs. Easy to use intuitive buttons.
