Size 3 is smallest and work great to hide taste of broken down larger pills.
This is the smallest empty capsule I’ve been able to find. It’s a little confusing that the size 3 is smaller than a 00. But I learned that the hard way.I have a dog that’s in congestive heart failure. He hates his meds. I’ve tried using every pill pocket on the market. But once he bites into the pill he spits out everything. He then doesn’t trust the taste of the pill pocket or food product again. Super smart rescue.I just about lost my mind trying to figure out how I was going to get my dog to take the 4 different pills he has to take twice a day. He needs them to live, so it’s very important.Once I found these empty capsules so I could break down his pills, and to place inside. Well, I can then just put these size 3 into his regular food. He takes them just fine. But when I tried to use the 00 (double zero)empty capsules, he could pick them out every time. He was very polite about it. He would just spit out the pill filled capsule next to the bowl. Got to love a polite dog. Haha 😍The 00 zero pills were easier for me to fill. I barely ever had to even break a single pill in 1/2. But they didn’t work for my dog. Now with the smaller size 3 pill filled capsules-it takes me longer to prepare the pills for him. But I don’t feel like I have to worry every time it’s pill time. I don’t have to worry that if he misses a pill he won’t survive.I HIGHLY recommend this product if you have a person or pet that has a hard time with pills. Regardless if it’s the size or taste that’s bothering them. Using these capsules (when you get the correct size) is worth every dollar I spend.

Great for cats!!
Have to give my cat 3/4 of an antibiotic pill for 6 weeks. After they are cut, they are no longer smoothly coated. She had a pill to take in a gel capsule when I first got her home. That went down super easy, so I looked for gel capsules to purchase. These are the same length but not as wide. It worked fine, though, to cut the pills in 4 pieces. Then, working with them like puzzle pieces, I easily got 3 pieces in the capsule. They go down like a charm - once I manage to get them in her mouth! It’s hard to coordinate the pill placement when she’s wriggling. I made my own pill dispensing chute by cutting the plunger end off an old pet syringe I’d saved (and filed the end smooth). That way, I can slip the pill in more easily than placing with my big fingers.

Used to medicate my six cats
I needed a means to give my six cats an antibiotic medication. This was made difficult by the fact that this powder is hideously vile tasting. There was no way the cats would eat their food with this stuff mixed in. This was after I'd tried a different but similarly vile tasting antibiotic in a tablet form. The tablets would get stuck at the back of their throats, and not go down, even with butter. I thought to use capsules like this, so I calculated the volume of powder necessary for the vet's prescribed dosage, and then went on line to find the volumes of a variety of different sized capsules. I ended up getting two different sizes for the different sized cats, and filled them. With a bit of butter smeared on the capsules, they went down the cat's throats relatively easily. I am able to type with all of my fingers, too! I highly recommend this method for pet owners!

Very Useful Getting Pills Down My Cat's Throat
I bought these to mask bitter pills prescribed by my Vet for my cat. Helped a lot. Before using these, she pocketed the pill, in a way that it appeared she swallowed, and then I'd find the pill, spat out, in other rooms of my home.

The only way to get some meds into our clever dog
Our dog never got the memo that to give him a pill, one only needed to wrap it in bacon. He got Lyme Disease and definitely needed medication to combat it (and save his life). Even though the medication was "flavored", it didn't fool him. Even put into a treat, he would detect it and spit it out -- then would refuse all treats (with meds or not). Eventually, we tried crushing the pills up and putting the powder into these small capsules. Success! For us, hiding a capsule into every second or third piece of cooked tube pasta did the trick. The gel caps keep the bitter flavor of the medication away from his taste buds, and our dog is healthy again!!!

Excellent to give medication to cats
I have a cat that needs to be pilled 6 times a day with bitter medication. It was torturous for her. I bought these so I can 1) combine 2 pills into one dose thereby cutting down on the amount of times I have to pill her to 4. And 2) she doesn't fight when I give her the pills because she doesn't mind the taste. They are small enough for her to easily swallow. They do dissolve pretty quickly if they get wet so you have to make sure to swallow right away. I highly recommend if you're needing these to give medications to animals.

Just the right size!
Unfortunately the sizing charts for these are hard to interpret as I was placing a half of a small tablet in them for my cat and the sizing is more about volume (liquid or powder). But after ordering 0, 1, and 2, I found 3 was what I needed and they work great.

For My Cat
My cat has to take this power - If I put it on his food he doesn't eat it. But he takes pills fairly easy. So this cat mom takes the time to fill the capsules for him. Has been working good - the capsules are easy to fill.
