I am searching for a travel substitute for my round brush. I have curly hair that is easy to blow dry straight, most effectively with a round brush. I was hopeful the boar bristles on this would hold my damp hair enough that I could turn it under and create tension for the drying process. But my damp hair just slips through and doesn't hold. If you are looking to just brush your hair, this is a good brush, sturdy, and space saving.

I’ve had my last Goodys brush comb combo for years way more than ten. On my last trip it disappeared. I looked every where. All the stores that could possible have it and some tgat were a far reach. Then I though Amazon my go to and there it was!! It’s the perfect size to fit in any purse, even small ones and sometimes a comb just won’t do. I am so happy. I’ve ordered another just in case!!

I have fine, straight hair, relatively thick, cut a couple of inches below my ears. For my type hair, this is the ONLY compact purse hairbrush that works. It has 2 rows of bristles, not the plastic, knob-ended ones spaced far apart like the Ultra Collapsible, but thick and close together. The Ultra is like not even combing my hair; it doesn't grab any hairs at all. This Goody works like a natural bristle brush. It catches every hair and smooths my style perfectly. The comb is great, too, for my type hair. Plus it is much more compact and easy to use than the Ultra. If you have coarse, thick, or curly hair, get the Ultra, but if your hair is fine and straight like mine, get this one.

Does the job. Lower quality than the old version, but what isn’t. Bristles are a little too stiff.

Just the right size for purse

You have a combination comb and brush in 1 compact form. Beware: Some models have a metal rivet as part of the hinge. I once had to get wanded by the TSA at an airport because it set off the metal detector. This vendor was overpriced.

3 stars means "It's okay" and that feels about right to me. I had two unpleasant surprises: 1) It does indeed say that "colors may vary", and I was more than willing to accept any mainstream color (black, red, white, blue, gray) but I never imagined it could come in a hideous purple. Ugh, this is for my business travel and it doesn't look great, though I admit few will ever see it. Had they displayed the possible random colors I would have weighed the odds of losing the color lottery and perhaps gone a different direction. The other disappointment was the uneven length of some of the brush bristles which had a few sticking out such that they jabbed in a painful manner. I was able to trim a few of the obvious ones but it's not as smooth as hoped. Anyway, the price was quite reasonable so "It's okay".....

Great for traveling

I use this brush/comb on my cats and they love it. I lost the one I had and me and the cats were so disappointed ……. then I found another on Amazon and we all are so happy. Thank you Amazon retailer.

I was looking to replace an old brush/comb of this style as the comb had lost all its teeth so I was very pleased to find this & even happier when it arrived, its worth the wait as its very sturdy & ideal size for a handbag.
