The media could not be loaded.  The Route Beauty THE GOLDEN RULE Next-Generation Retinoid has a very subtle scent of oranges. It feels very light on my skin, and lightly moisturizes. Though my skin drank it up I didn't feel the tackiness fully went away. I only use this at night as with any product containing a retinoid ingredient.Also, do not expect overnight results, retinoid products need to be used consistently for six to eight weeks before any decernable noticable changes.I also feel at it's current price point of $83.00 for a little less than two ounces is a bit steep if you're budget conscious.

It's the type of product that needs time and consistent use to really get to the most noticeable and dramatic results. It does however make my skin's complexion look much more refreshed and bright when waking-up the next morning. The consistency is nice. It's not too harsh for my combo skin with sensitive areas. Going well so far!

This is a retinol serum that has got a gold/amber color to it. It definitely adds a shimmer to my pale complexion. The problem is this is a serum I wear to bed so I’m not thinking “cosmetic improvement” when I am ready for sleep. Maybe I should be!No fragrance that I can detect. Feels nice and light on the skin. It’s a nice serum overall. I didn’t have any redness or irritation I can get from retinol. I’m not sure how concentrated this is. It seems to have fairly broad aspirations but it’s a decent all around serum for me.

This stuff is life changing- well, skin changing lol it’s so good! My skin loves itI use it after cleansing and right before applying my moisturizer.

The Route retinoid is absolutely perfect!! I have used this for about a few weeks and I have amazing progress to share with y’all! Before using this I use to suffer from dull skin that was real dry and wrinkled. But now I have glowing hydrated skin! This helped me retain my skin moisture! I love how I feel awesome after I put this on! My skin looks better! I always put this on before I sleep and always have results in the morning! My skin has firmed out and looks younger! I love everything about this! I also enjoy the ingredients list! The dispenser is easy to use to! My face looks tightened and my crows eyes has firmed out also! The fragrance is light and does not really disturb my skin. Overall I am very impressed and satisfied!! I hope this can help you make a decision!

This is the first time I am trying a retinoid product and was really hoping it would help with improving skin texture and fine lines . I have extremely dry skin and found this to be on the drying side for my skin. I had to stop using it because my skin felt considerably drier than it did prior to use. Perhaps I’m sensitive to retinoid products but I couldn’t continue using it.During the time that I used it, I used it at nighttime because it contains retinoid, which can make your skin sensitive to the sun. There is some gold shimmer in the product itself that is completely unnecessary for a nighttime product. During the daytime, it would probably be ok to add a little glow to the skin but this is a product to use during the nighttime as it says “nighttime targeted high potency actives.”
