Great curriculum
We use the Horizon homeschool curriculum for homeschooling our children. These books or concise and straight to the point and what is great is seeing the progress your child makes when you are dedicated to being consistent, and you provide the small push for them to succeed and getting the concepts. The directions are written simple for the children and the examples given provide enough contextual clues. I personally follow up with open ended questions and do review. I think Horizon books are a great companion as a source of information in any one’s homeschool curriculum. It is a Christian worldview medium. That is also nice if it fits with your family’s values and tradition as it can open up the opportunity and set the ground work for religious discussions if that is important to you or if you are secular it is done in a manner that you can offer perspective. Regardless it is not overt, or discriminatory, or offensive, it is inclusive, and presents virtues and baseline of moral importance which is also very important for a homeschool curriculum. The health book in particular offers engagement, is easy material to present and for the child to comprehend and provides room for them to express their level of understanding to show they get the concept. All in all a great cornerstone to experienced homeschoolers and new ones, and also good for supplemental and further development with traditional public school attendees who may benefit from extracurricular learning especially if they lack homework or you’d like for your child to be more into scholastics, studying, and writing during these ages of development.
