Original Float Valve for Instant Pot Lux 8 Qt, Duo 8, Duo Plus 8 Qt Replacement Float Valve for Instant Pot with Silicone Caps by Zonefly (2 Pack)

Our original float valve (though instant pot claims their lids are dishwasher safe) started to corrode in the dishwasher, and instant is out of the part, which tells me that it's a common problem piece. This replacement is taller, let me emphasis that point, it is NOT the same length as the piece it replaced, but it WILL WORK. Don't panic, lol. I actually prefer the additional height, it gives a much clearer visual indication of achieving a seal. The part is smooth and well made, the aluminum is anodized and not just painted, and the seals appear to be good silicone, passing all the non destructive tests. I can't tell these seals from the factory ones, which I suppose is a good thing. All in all I'd buy it again, and I'm half tempted to, because I only got one small seal for the valve stem and not two. Not worth taking off a star in my book, but worth mentioning.

Like many others, I lost the tiny silicone gasket that sits on the end of the IP's float valve. The float valve is the thing that indicate that the IP has reached pressure. Without the gasket, the float valve will not work and the IP's lid has a hole in it, i.e., the IP is useless without it! I was worried about finding a replacement gasket. Even on the Instant store (Corelle Brands) there were not a lot of options for shipping international. But that's where "Zone Fly," the Amazon Seller, shined. Not only did they have the right part, and the correct technical description to put my mind at ease about compatibility with my IP Pro but they shipped international for a few dollars. I got 2 float valves (which admittedly, I didn't need) and two precious tiny silicone gaskets . I am so pleased with ZoneFly's service, shipping and product description. Would buy from again. Thanks!
