I suffer from severe Rheumatoid Disease so I’ve purchased other back applicators as I apply a formulated compound prescription pain cream a minimum of two times a day to my upper and mid back, neck and shoulder blades. None have been worth the money spent, either too flimsy, impractical or wasteful requiring too much cream/lotion or the applicator absorbing the product. Murphy’s Law, the areas I need to apply the cream are only reachable by painful or impossible twisting and contorting of my wrists which are also affected by this disease. In the past I had to rely on my husband to apply the cream so if he wasn’t home or was unavailable I was stuck until he could apply it. When I saw this applicator and that it had a sure grip, had a wooden handle that was curved and had reusable, replaceable grooved rubber applicators I decided to give it a try. I received it today and the ease and comfort to use it is amazing. It actually exceeds my expectations. I’ve already used it twice. It is nothing short of a godsend for me since I now no longer need to wait in extreme pain to get relief. Plus, I can finally apply the cream to the exact spot where it is needed. No more, “up, down, left, right, over a little, no the other way....” The medication I am prescribed is very expensive so I hate to waste a drop and the non-absorbent rubber applicator works perfectly. I just rinse it after use, dry it off and place it back in the canvas bag that came with the wand till the next time.The applicator remains snug on the handle when used in any direction requiring the tiniest snugging down after I use it a few minutes long enough for the cream to be thoroughly absorbed. It’s important for you to know that my cream is somewhat thick, more gel-like so I have no problem with it running off the applicator. But if your cream or lotion is thin or runny this applicator may not work for you. You would probably be better off with an applicator with a head that unscrews and you fill with lotion. I am thrilled with this purchase and am so glad I took a chance and purchased the applicator and three replacement applicators although I believe each one has many many applications before needing to be replaced. I’m considering purchasing another applicator to stash for a friend or family member. I’m sure it would be a welcomed gift to any one who,struggles with applying lotions to unreachable areas and for use to apply body cream to legs and even feet.

After reading the reviews, I was hesitant to order this. Mainly because some reviewers said that the sponge was too hard and didn't absorb the lotion. However, I went ahead and ordered it and figured I could return it if it was as bad as some reviewers has written. Yes, the sponge is stiff and doesn't absorb the lotion but that's actually by design. By not allowing the sponge to absorb, it leaves more lotion on the surface to apply to my back. A single application is good enough to apply to about half my back so what I do is apply the lotion to both the front and back of the sponge. That way, I just flip it over and finish the application. Works quite well and I'm happy with it.

It's a nice tool. Light, nice grip, but the head is stiff, so its harder to maneuver to get the lotion onto your skin. My old one was a sponge end, which was flexible so easier to use. But you had the hassle of washing and replacing sponges. Assume I will get better with practice as I like this model.

Product arrived ah little late but it wasnt ah problem. The pad isn't harsh on yuh skin dey give u extras but ah see 1 lasting ah long time. U can use both sides. The handle is sturdy, like da fact u cud either hang it on ah hook (there's ah string provided) it also comes wit a hook. Ah hav short arms so the length of da handle is good fuh me. The pad doesn't absorb da lotion I also use baby oil. I've used dis product twice everyday since ah got it haven't had ah problem wit it. Ah think da price is worth it. Ah do recommend dis product 😌

I got this to apply cocoa butter to my back after I got a sunburn because I didn't like the way my partner did it lol I'm impressed with how well it did with applying the butter since the butter I use is hard before it has a chance to melt on your skin. I just kind of smooshed the butter onto the pad and it stayed on the pad just fine while I applied it. However, after using it I feel like the design isn't thoroughly thought through. There isn't much curve to the handle which makes it hard to reach certain places, I had to do a lot of switching up angles, hands, ect. to get into all the contours of my back. It took some effort. I also feel like the pad shape and material is less than ideal. The foam didn't absorb any butter but it felt like it just smeared it around and it took a lot of finesse to get it rubbed in well. Maybe if it was made of a more rubbery texture it would work better, I'm not sure. The pad also seemed like it could be better a shape. I wonder about it have an articulating head joint or a more bendable material to help getting in some hard to reach spots. I'm not sure what could be done to improve this product but I do know it was a little difficult to use. Maybe it just takes practice. All in all, it got the job done, my back is moisturized, my sunburn is less itchy, and I'm satisfied. I might look for different style products similar to this one in the future but for now I'm happy and going to stick with it!

I love this product. For several years my dermatologist had been complaining that I had dry skin. I had solved that by putting lotion everywhere I could reach, but my back was still dry (as he told me again this year). He recommended this applicator. It is perfect for the use. I didn't even realize that my back was a bit itchy because of the dryness, but as soon as I put lotion on it for the first time, the itch (that I was so used to that I wasn't aware of it) disappeared. I also use this sometimes to put lotion on my feet and legs. Because of a back injury, reaching those can be painful. Some reviewers have mentioned difficulties with the applicator coming off of the stick. The stick goes in a hole in the applicator that I discovered to be quite deep. The applicator seems to be "on" long before reaching the bottom of that hole, but if you push it as far as it will go, it's not coming off until you want it to. The inside of the applicator is a bit spongy - more than the outside - and "hugs" the handle firmly. (I got the version with several extra pads, and that comes with the stick and the pads separate, so you need to put a pad on before using the product.) The outside of the pad is firm and does not absorb whatever you are applying to your skin.

J'ai acheté cet article pour appliquer une lotion Panoxyl dans mon dos. J'ai trouvé le manche facile à utiliser et l'éponge robuste est facile à laver car le produit ne s'imprègne pas dedans. Les brosses de rechange sont adéquates et faciles à intaller.

I read the reviews and was hesitant to purchase due to many complaints It's sturdy and works just as described. The firm foam ends stay on just fine if you slide them on all the way. They are also very easy to clean and do not suck up the cream. About the only complaint I have is the handle is barely curved making it a bit of a stretch to use Overall, if you are alone and not flexible enough to reach your whole back this applicator is PERFECT!
