Cuts straight!
I wish I had purchased this years ago! The ONLY thing I don't like about it is that it is lightweight so you have to use 2 hands to lift the cutting arm. If you travel with your guillotine cutter this one would definitely work for that. I keep it out so I just wish it was a bit weighted. It cuts great and is very easy to use.

Amazing paper cutter, very happy with this purchase.
Good size for paper crafting, easily stored, lightweight but still sturdy, good safety features, nice blade, easy to use, and great price for a guillotine style paper cutter. Definitely my go-to cutter for 65lb and 110lb car stocks.

Great value for your money!
This guillotine replaced my other one that just wasn’t up to par. This guillotine is precise in its measurements and the blade is super sharp. I have not cut more than 3 pieces of cardstock at once, so I cannot attest to its ability to cut through the number it states. The 3 that I stacked and cut were perfectly cut. Don’t opt for the cheaper versions as you will waste your money. Tonic Studios is a great brand. I now have this one and 2 smaller ones for use at my work station.

I want to love this, but...
I really want to like this trimmer. I haven't found a perfect portable paper cutter yet! I was just cutting loads of card stock (one sheet at a time) and I realized there was a hitch somewhere along the cut line, leaving tiny divots in the edges of my paper. The whole purpose of a guillotine trimmer is to get a nice, clean edge - and this isn't happening! The arm also doesn't go all the way up on its own. If I just push it up to where it wants to stop, I can't actually seat my paper all the way up to the top of the trimmer. Gave it a little extra nudge and found that the blade rubs against the cutting edge at the top, causing a less-than-smooth cutting motion. The not-quite-smooth edge and hitchy cutting action are forcing me to send this back. Too bad, too! The size is great, it isn't at all heavy, and I do like the design. Just doesn't give the high quality cut I expect. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I returned the bad trimmer and requested a replacement. No problem, no questions asked. Great process. The second trimmer also seems to need an extra nudge to get the blade to swing all the way open for paper to butt up completely to the top rail. I'm not going to push too hard... The blade makes smooth cuts every time so far. I was originally afraid I was going to have the same problems as the original trimmer since the blade seemed to catch at the beginning of the chop. I took a scrap piece of cardstock and just went for it, hacking it all to pieces and not babying the blade at all. Whatever was in the way, got chopped out of the way! So far so good on Round 2. I am beginning to believe there is no such thing as a perfect trimmer, and I am glad I gave this a second try.

Perfect size for pictures
Works great for photos and doesn't take up a whole lot of space but do make sure photo/paper is held in place for it may move while cutting.

Not the Perfect Trimmer but not Bad Either
I paper craft a lot and haven't found (or heard of) the one perfect trimmer. This one isn't the exception. That being said, it still has a lot going for it, and I am happy with my purchase. I will be using it in conjunction with my swing arm blade style trimmer that can cut papers up to 12"x12" size. I do recommend that if you only buy one trimmer for card and scrapbooking paper crafting, that you get one that can handle at least that size paper regardless of the trimmer style. The honest truth is that this works so well though, that I will probably use it more than the swing arm style now. But I still want both to create the "perfect" trimmer choice. Pros: Clean, crisp, sharp cuts Fairly Compact and Portable - great if no flat space can be dedicated only to trimmer placement Seems durable Safe construction (especially for a guillotine style) with large finger guard No blade replacement costs Nice measurement grid markings (on platform and at top and bottom) Good price point for the quality Cons: When first used, the blade was very tight and tugged the paper out of place and created crooked cuts. Still requires sturdy hold to avoid the crooked cuts. Guillotine style can cut fingers if operator is major klutz (I am and have) - reminder to make use of guard Not suitable for 12' x 12" paper cutting Can't make window cuts in paper

Great, compact, paper trimmer
Very sharp, cuts well, but wish it was longer!

Oggetto bello, leggero ma robusto. Ottima lama.

Great cutter. I have the 6", but needed 8" at least. Crafter. Very pleased.

Absolut empfehlenswert. Ich denke ich werde mir die große auch zulegen. Schneidet zuverlässig ohne Papier zu reissen.

I love this little cutter! It's great and handy for smaller card projects when I don't want to pull out and use the regular size cutter. So easy to use.

The knife is really sharp and it cuts really well. It's a bit small but perfect for someone who does not have space.
