Ok desk
This desk is extremely hard to build. Some of the holes don’t align with the screws at all. Desk is alright but not worth the effort to build this damn thing.

It's a very nice and sturdy desk.
My daughter moved back home with us, and suddenly we needed another desk for her computer and printer. So rather than cluttering up the house with yet another desk, we got rid of the one I was using and ordered this figuring it would work well for both of us. Boy howdy did it ever. Plenty of room for both of us when working on our computers at the same time. Made from square metal tubing, the unit is very sturdy and solid, and was really easy to put together. The wood finish is amazing. We got the brown wood finish rather than the black option. Probably took about an hour or so to put together but the results were definitely worth it. And for the price, you can't beat this with a stick.

Good Desk, Does The Job
First off, it's important to remember that this is NOT Walter E. Smithe, Ethan Allen, or Amish-made furniture. With this in mind, as well as the price point, I wasn't expecting heirloom-quality. This desk was/is intended to be a shorter-term solution until I can find (or build) a computer desk that meets my needs (multiple monitors, multiple printers, somewhat limited space). I have to admit to a certain reluctance to buy a Tribesigns product, given some of the more negative reviews I've read. However, after having received and put this product together, I can say I'm more than happy with the purchase. I humbly offer some of my modest observations regarding this product below.* The desk came well-packed, and was easy to unbox and organize pre-assembly. The instructions could use a little work on clarity, but having put together more Sauder and Ikea products than I care to admit, it wasn't too difficult to figure out.* Assembly time for myself and a non-mechanically inclined 9-year old was about an hour (this includes correcting an assembly error that was entirely my fault for not reading the assembly diagram thoroughly). Although the desk does come with a Phillips-head screwdriver and hex key, I HIGHLY recommend using a power screwdriver to keep arm and wrist fatigue to a minimum. A 3/16 T-handle hex wrench with a ball end is also a HUGE help, as some of the clearances were a little tight for my cordless drill.* All pieces and hardware were clearly labeled, however due to the way some of them fit together it pays to make sure the orientation of the frame pieces is correct so you don't have to take something apart because you got the center section turned backwards and couldn't get the shelves attached until you corrected your error (mentioned above).* Pay attention to how much you tighten the bolts when putting the frame together. While the frame is sturdy, it is not battleship hull-thickness steel, and the frame walls WILL bend if you overtighten the bolts.* Speaking of bolts, there were a couple occasions where it seemed the bolts were having some difficulty getting screwed into the integrated nuts, however once I powered through the problem they continued in just fine. I would probably attribute that to paint/powder coating/whatever they use getting caught in the threads.* There was also one instance where, of the 12 bolts used to attach the 2-piece top to the frame, the hole in the frame and the threaded bolt receptacle did not line up. However given the expectations I had (described earlier) and the fact that the other 11 bolts did line up and the top was pretty firmly attached, I wasn't going to worry about one bolt not lining up.* Speaking of the top, it does come in two pieces, so there will be a seam down the middle. However, as the seam is over the center section, it shouldn't present much of an issue, especially since when all was said and done the two halves matched closely enough that the seam is barely noticeable.* With respect to the missing hardware issue I read about in some other reviews, it would appear that the reason the other honorable buyers were short was because the previously mentioned missing hardware appeared in my package. I did end up with a couple of extra bolts and screws at the end of assembly, even though all attachment points were present and accounted for. I also did not seem to experience the issue others did with damaged wood-like substance or bent metal components. In this case, the results were better than I had anticipated they would be. The desk looks nice, and is pretty sturdy.
