StomaSafe Plus Double Layer Belly Band for Secure Fixation of the Ostomy Bag, Elastic Belly Band with Extra Support for Increased Activity, Beige S/M

I'm new to wearing a urostomy pouch and the fact that it can be seen behind my clothing makes me very self-conscious. I'm a petite woman only 5 feet tall so my stoma is well above my belly button and inches above the waistband of my dress pants and blue jeans. I can see pouch crinkles and bulges under every type of top or dress I wear. This support garment smooths out the pouch edge crinkles and bulges and makes the pouch nearly invisible under any type of blouse or knit shirt. It also hides the drain at the bottom of the pouch because of the little "envelope" in the bottom of the garment. It's very easy to put on and take off. I wish the price was a little bit lower because I'd like to purchase several more of these. The only improvement I can suggest is the size of the opening in the underneath layer is not compatible with my one-piece Hollister urostomy bag, so it would be nice to have different size openings available. The garment as it is made my bag pucker up and stick straight out. I need a 3 inch opening, so I sewed a 3 inch circle with a sewing machine stretch stitch around the current opening. Then I trimmed the excess fabric close to the newly stitched circle. Works perfectly now and I couldn't be happier. It was well worth the extra work to have this confidence-boosting garment.

Ich habe mir den Stomasafe Plus bestellt nachdem ich frisch aus dem Krankenhaus kam, und nach einer weichen Unterstützung für Bauch und Stoma gesucht habe. Ich bin mehr als zufrieden. Durch die zwei Lagen, kann man seinen Stomabeutel in der ersten Lage durch die integrierte Öffnung (universal, flexibel dehnbar)durchziehen und mit der zweiten Lage sicher abdecken, so hat man zum Einen eine gute Unterstützung für den Bauchraum und zum Anderen auch gleichzeitig eine Sichtschutz, falls der Pulli doch mal hochrutscht, es ist alles gut verborgen. Das Material ist weich und man schwitzt nicht darin. Auch das Waschen in der Waschmaschine ist kein Problem.

I bought this in black and nude and they work great under dresses when I want to keep the pouch close to my body. The double fabric is soft but a bit bulky under fitted pants and I find it is warm when the weather is hot. Its great for winter time and colder temperatures and super comfy to wear to bed when I want a bit more support. I am only 6 months into my new life with a colostomy and this definitely helped give me confidence when going out and helped me relax and not worry about leaks.

Ich nutze diesen Bauchgurt speziell beim reiten. Er ist sehr angenehm zu tragen und drückt nicht. Grundsätzlich ist er mir etwas zu breit, so dass ich ihn umklappen muss. Das ist der Grund für einen Sternabzug für Sportarten, bei der eine Pressatmung erforderlich ist oder wo die Bauchmuskeln stärker arbeiten müssen, würde ich eher eine Bandage nutzen, die man wirklich fest fixieren kann, umso einen Stomabruch vorzubeugen.
