Great boots for first responders. These were great for the time I had them. Durable and comfortable. Sadly these boots will not survive being run over by a fire truck. I’ll admit that was mostly due to user error.

I got these for work very comfortable and stylish. I work in an office an at times I have to drive box truck for deliveries. These boots do great in the field and look stylish for the office.

I got a Fantastic deal on these boots, due to slight flaws in the manufacturing process. They advised the size was 11 - wide. After receiving the order I could not observe any manufacturer flaws in either boot, both looked brand new with no marks or scratches at all. The only issue was the boots were not wide but appeared to be regular size width. In other words They didn’t fit at all so I had to return them. The process was very easy with Amazon print out the return label and drop off to UPS. My advice is look for these kind of deals, I saved over $80.00 off the standard price you may get lucky and save a bundle.

6’ 3” 280 lbs. I have worn bates on and off for 20 years. Well over 10 pair. Light weight, great food bed, defiantly the most comfortable boot I have ever worn, they do wear out on the tred after a year. . Big sizes and WIDE size available. Not the trendy or over priced 5.11 boot but much better at a much better price point. If you are on the fence about this brand and it’s products? don’t be! Try em. You will see what I mean. Stay safe out there.

I ordered the next half size up to have toe wiggle room. I like the composite toe better than steel toe lighter boot. Will order again.

Quality and style of boot do not compare to my other bates boots that i purchased directly from bates. This is just my opinion. Kinda think they are a knock off

The VA provides diabetic shoes for me.I install the orthotic inserts from those in these boots which are much better and wear better while providing superior ankle supportBates also makes a taller boot that is identical other than heightThe removable insoles make this possible.The insoles provided with these shoes are quite good on their own as well based on trying the standard insoles just to see.I often walk on moderately difficult terrain and these boots have held up very well.I strongly recommend these boots

The boot was wide enough, but as soon as my foot was in, I immediately felt the composite edge pressing my toes! It was as if the boot was curled up at the toe. Definitely was gonna do 10 hours like that. Return

Comfortable and very well made boots.I have bought the Bates brand before, and never been disappointed. I’m a security guard, and on my feet a lot. So very comfortable. And not as heavy as some boots, so when running, they feel like sneakers / running shoes on my feet.Very quick and prompt delivery.

Disappointed. I have purchased several Bates safety boots over the years. Ordered these seeing they were composite toe safety boots. When I received them I noticed they didn’t have the (Canadian) CSA green tag. Fit, comfort durability etc are irrelevant if the boot does not have the CSA green tag for Canada. Most people that buy safety boots buy them for work. If they are not safety standard certified most employers would not approve of their use or reimburse the costs. Also in the result of a relevant injury investigation your coverage could be jeopardized if it was discovered your boots were not CSA. I realize they are ASTM but that is not sufficient as far as I know. Not sure why they are not CSA certified. Maybe the Canadian market isn’t big enough to bother getting them certified, or these boots were just not intended to be sold in Canada and just missing the label.
