not sure what or how they painted these but it will rub off on your hands with just touching them. Had to put a clear coat over them to make them able to be handled.

I was worried about them being too small after I ordered them but they seem fairly sturdy and are doing the job we need them for. You couldn't wrap a really thick rope them but work perfectly fine with smaller rope.
