I have tried a few hand mixers and this by far is one of the best! The speed settings are perfect!

Mom loves to bake
Mom loves to bake and uses the mixer as a regular tool. Attachments detach easily and it has nice speed settings.

Very powerful, no slow speed.
The motor is powerful. However, the slowest speed to way too fast for the beginning mixing of a recipe. It throws ingredients out of the bowl.

My old Hamilton Beach mixer finally bit the dust, and now I have a reasonably priced, powerful replacement! No more wondering if it's going to poop out while I'm trying to mix cake batter, etc.

No Lower Speeds on Mixer
This mixer has plenty of power and speed but cheap ones have lots of speed, too. The problem is that this mixer has no lower speed. It goes from high to higher to highest. There is no mix or fold speed so when I start mixing something bits of it fly out of the bowl until the ingredients are sufficiently incorporated. I purchased based on buyer ratings but I'm very disappointed. Not up to Cuisinart's usual quality standard.

This mixer holds up well to heavy usage. I have had it at least 10 years.
I have had this mixer for years and it still works. I have made at least 400 batches of cookies with this mixer. I am on the fifth set of beaters but the mixer is still great.
