Dear sir/madam, For the battery pack, we suggest that you put it on the top of the shower panel. There is one pri-drilled hole on the top. It is easy for you to replace the battery in the future.

Package dimensions is not the dimensions of actual shower system. The dimensions of the shower: 7.9‘’W*50”H*20.9"D

what is the width of the unit? Not the package but the clearance width that is against the wall?

The unit width against the wall is about 7 7/8". The shower wand that stub extends out the right side increases the width to 3". This stub has the hose junction for the hand-held wand and also has a notch to hold the wand.
