The first one lasted quite some time until I handed it down to my son. Didn't last more than a month. I ordered another one thinking it was just because my first one was getting a little old. Well, to my surprise they completely updated the hinge system and it's no longer a small, two little nub system. They have made it a larger tab and even added a small, metal rod for support. So if you were on the fence about this due to reports of the hinge breaking. Have no fear. An update was made and it is much more sturdy than before. And none of mine have ever leaked. I've had mine sideways in a laptop bag with oil and vinegar dressing and never experienced a leak. Overall a great product. The lunch box itself cannot washed in dishwashers. Poor design the hinge is very light. Mine broke in a few weeks. Once the hinge is broken the box is useless. This box looks very premium. Other than that its not worth the money. Trust me you will thank me later for warning you.
