Will this work in my yard?

If you have ground squirrels. Specifically, if you have a California Golden Mantled Ground Squirrels. It probably won't be effective for tree squirrels, like gray squirrels or fox squirrels. It won't be very effective for chipmunks either. You will want to use an approved ground squirrel bait, such as that sold by Wikco. We pick our bait up at Tractor Supply. We found locating the traps close to the burrows in a location on a travel path works best. Oh, it won 't work on gophers either. If you Google "California aground Squirrel Control", you will find some good reference material from UC Berkeley.

What are the dimensions?

Maybe 18" X 12"? I returned them because I thought I would not use them and then I purchased 2 at my local hardware. Now I am going to order 2 more through Amazon because the ground squirrel problem has escalated. Wish me luck.

There is a specific bait that goes with the Bait Station called " Ground Squirrel Bait. It is expensive. Comes in a tall white container.
