The Marine Corps Martial Arts Program: The Complete Combat System

The Corps has done a nice job on their program and the presentation in this manual is pretty good, (although it does not state it has been released to the public domain yet) oops. The program is laid out in an easy to access format which I like and makes a nice addition to the program as a whole ( I have seen the complete program printed and its over 1500 pages). I do prefer the Marine Corps approach to combatives as it keeps the pretzel fighting to a minimum. Overall nice job!

I have been glancing through this book. It is very informative, and contains all of what I had learned when I was on active duty. A good investment for anyone who is or has taken the USMC martial arts training.

A lot of good material for the defensive mindset and self defense understanding, though a lot of it I s basic knowledge (how to form a fist, how to throw a kick, etc.) Of course, as a military manual it includes a "warrior" approach which it should be understood does not always apply in the civilian world where use of force is strongly regulated. There are also a lot of typos throughout , but easy to move past in favor of the material that is useful. Worth the small expense and time to read for sure!

This book is a very in depth guide to the MCMAP. It covers techniques from the basic tan belt all the way to first degree black belt. Every technique is illustrated in concise black and white photos with text explanation as well. I am very pleased with this book.

This electronic book covers the Marine Corps new MCMAP close combat/self defense martial arts program (Marine Corps Martial Arts Program). You can only gain so much from a book (including this electronic version), and this one is no exception. Covers basic moves, etc. However, this book contains numerous misspellings on many pages that appear to be the result of the downloading or scanning of the original document. Other than that, if one wants to acquaint themselves with MCMAP, this book will do.
