The installation was problematic. The hardware to install the shower doors is inadequate. I had to purchase suitable hardware to support the doors to facilitate the install. I anticipated an easy install but sadly, that was not the case.

Before I begin, a warning: DO NOT under any circumstances try to install this monster yourself, or with less than two people. That proposition is virtually impossible unless the solo installer has the strength of Paul Bunyan. These glass panels are super heavy and very cumbersome, and there's really nothing to hang onto. Another caveat: The instructions are lousy, so if you use a handyman as I did (at around $85/hour) expect to pay a minimum of $300 or so for installation and for your installer to figure out the poor instructions. A final warning: The shipment will arrive, if like mine, via UPS Freight. They won't go up steps, they won't go through doors unless you open the doors for them. In my case, the driver left the load on a double pallet in my driveway and took off. I had to break apart the pallet with a hammer and crowbar to dispose of it -- UPS charges to take the pallet with them.Now on to the product itself. It requires a tub that is reasonably in-plumb to correctly install. You will also run into space problems with the bottom runner if you have a cast iron bathtub as I do...there's not enough width at the top to accommodate the glass door spacer. My installer said there likely would have been no issue with a ceramic tub. Additionally, make sure you have studs where the top bar will affix...this unit is exceptionally heavy and would rip right off the wall if secured only to drywall. The finished product looks pretty nice; it's definitely heavy duty. It's too soon to tell how the stainless will hold up to years of exposure to moisture, but it seems to be of reasonably good quality.Overall the finished look is good. At a final investment of around $1,400 and from the wisdom dispensed by my handyman (who has vowed never again to install one of these units if he can help it) I'd recommend a semi-frameless model. He said those are cake to install, easier to plumb, look good and cost less.

I installed this door 2 years ago and could not be any happier with it. Great looks and very heavy duty. Nothing flimsy about this door. No sign of any corrosion on the hardware. The door is heavy but moves over the rail like a feather. This can be a DIY project but you will need help when installing the top rail and lifting the glass into place. I used epoxy to attach the glass guides to the top of a cast steel Kohler tub. This worked well as the top of the tub rail is not completely flat all the way across.

The shower is incredibly well made and looks fantastic. We only had two "issues." One, it was not easy to install and we ended up paying a glass company to install for us. Two, when we received the product it looked as if we were shipped shower doors instead of ones for a tub. But after some research and calling VIGO, we were informed that they are all the same (hardware and everything), and that the only difference was in the length. Regardless of that it's really beautiful and we love it.

The overall look and design of this shower door is modern, cool and minimal. There is a gap between where the door slides, and even with the plastic divider, water still gets through and onto the floor. Also keep in mind that because this is glass, you will need to clean it every day to avoid water spots.

My only issue the is the printed company name in a very visible place on the top. I thought it was a sticker then realize it is imprinted :( Not very appealing but the quality and looks are nice.

just make sure your contractor follow the install directions ! and the measurement ! or show this product to your contractor first ... before you buy it

Looks good glass is hard to keep clean.
