Q: I wear size 32 in jeans, but 34 in smart trousers, based on these measurements what size jammers should I be wearing?

My son has size 34 and is a 30/32 in trousers .

Q: Never owned a pair before, should I be ordering my normal waist size 32? Or should I be ordering the next size up?

Hi there. Speedo does fit quite snugly to avoid bagginess in the water so you may wish to go up a size if you would prefer a looser fit from the start - otherwise your normal size should suit but may start off quite tight. I hope this helps? Many thanks
