Nice, basic soft socks. Note that size options overlap.
I'm a size 7.5 or 8 and chose size 6-11 before I noticed the 4-8 option. The larger size is a relaxed fit and don't fall down but I suspect that 4-8 would've been a better option. The socks are absolutely fine.. wash OK, very soft and comfortable, stay up without the top band being too tight or restrictive. However, although I love the soft bamboo texture, the price range is getting into 'technical sock' territory. What I mean by this is socks which have thicker heel panels, a supportive grippy elastic under the arch and ventillation panels along the top of the foot. Prices vary and hopefully could come down for these a tad.Nice BROWN colours, though.. and brown is under-represented in society.I wanted my last car in brown but the nearest they had was a yellowy baby-vomit 'hue'.The best things in life are brown.. chocolate, coffee, passion cake and over-ripe bananas. Yum!

Big and Loose fitting.
I take a size 71/2 bought 4-8 thinking they would be nice and snug fit but they are more like a 6-11 in other makes. They are loosely knitted making them loosely fitting, however they feel soft and silky. Not recommend for any one below a size 9.Since writing above I have washed them and I can say they are now only suitable for the bin. What a WASTE of MONEY. If it was possible to remove the two stars I gave previously I would.

Reasonably comfortable loose-knit socks, after modification
The THMO “Bamboo” thermal socks are loosely knit and not extra warm, certainly nowhere near as warm as my old ski socks, nor as comfortable. However when walking in hot weather the spring in the knit offers better cushioning for the feet and the Viscose keeps them cool.I chose a size-range bigger than my shoe-size because all the socks Vine has offered me have shrunk several sizes in our normal wash, and these are no exception; two washes later they are a great improvement. I expect another two washes will stabilise them to about the right size.As with all Vine socks the elasticated top was too tight, and again as usual it is folded over for double squeeze. And again as usual a minute or two each with a quickunpic reduces the point constriction and gives some useful extra sock height. The bamboo is a bit of a misnomer because it is merely the source of cellulose used for the 43% Viscose (or Rayon see the Wiki) fibre used to soften the cotton.

Very soft but not very thermal.
These socks are very soft and comfortable to wear. I got the 6-11 size for my Husband who is a size 10. He said that they fit well. They are warm enough for around the house, if you don't want to put the heating on. Likewise they are good with boots if you are walking on a day that is not freezing cold. They are not as warm as other thermal socks that we have worn. They wash well on a 30°C wash, but I haven't tried to tumble dry them. These are soft and comfortable and warm enough for mild Autumn or Winter days, but definitely not warm enough for very cold weather.
