Tales for the Real World--a must read!
This book was a quick read and filled with gems of wisdom about navigating through life to find what you are made of, what you are capable of, and what will ultimately bring meaning and value to your life. The lessons are told through short stories involving Mad Hadley and a dozen other Vikings with colorful names like Feral Dave, Olga the She-Bear, and Elmer the Abominable. The author writes in a crisp, witty, intelligent style, and I found myself smiling throughout the book with his names and descriptors like “Havoc High School” and “freelance pillaging.” This is an inspirational guide for all ages! I definitely want my young married daughters to read The Viking’s Guide to Pillaging the Real World and as a retired high school English teacher, I would wholeheartedly recommend this book for the classroom.

This is a highly amusing and cleverly written book, chock full of life lessons. I would heartily recommend this work for use in college classrooms as well as business. Teamwork, treachery, the causes and repercussions of success and failure are all contained herein. There's a lot to think about here, and the ending left me literally laughing out loud. Very well done!
