LEISURE TIME Spa Maintenance Instant Cartridge Clean (30580A)

UPDATE: I added photos of how well this product works. I emptied and cleaned the hot tub today and refilled it, cleaning the filter first. 6 minutes to clean, totally rinse, and replace the filter. No scrubbing, no hours of soaking. First photo is of the dirty filter. 2nd photo is after I sprayed about an inch or so of the filter with this cleaner. I quickly sprayed the rest and waited 2 minutes, rinsed the filter and put it back in the hot tub. 6 minutes, flat on start to finish. The third photo shows the filter right before I put it back in the hot tub. It looks brand new.--- A quick spray works wonders. You can see exactly where you have sprayed the filter due to the bluish color of the cleaner. You won't believe you eyes when you see the dirt disappear from your filter. Getting the spray nozzle top with the bottle of cleaner is hit or miss. Over the last 3 years I have had 2 bottles of the cleaner delivered with the spray nozzle top and 2 without. So hold onto whatever spray nozzle top you have just in case you are shipped the bottle of cleaner without one. I have had hot tubs for 30 years and this cleaner puts all of the other filter cleaners I have tried to shame. I can clean my filter about 8 times with one bottle.

After five minutes of this stuff sprayed on our swim spa filters, all of the filth just rinses right off with a low pressure kitchen sink sprayer. It was feeling wasteful to use the outside hose on a pressure wash setting. SO much water to get into each crevice. I don't submerge the filters - I just spray them and then quickly rinse them out. Doesn't take a lot of water to remove all of the solution. Swim spa is staying balanced and clean.

I have not useed product. I just received it. I like to comment on the bottle and directions. Who makes a decision on putting the directions in black lettering on clear bottle with a dark blue product. You can't read directions. One should not need to go to website to look up directions. Company really should change this. Hopefully it works.Product works pretty well For surface of filter.

It worked well to clean the filter, or at least appeared to be clean. But don't make the same mistake I did - you REALLY need to work to wash all of this stuff out of the filter before you put your filter back in your spa, else you end up with a heap of foam. I like leisure time products, but this just didn't work out for me. I ended up draining, rinsing and refilling the spa to deal with the foam. I think from now on I will just power wash (water only) the filter or replace it.

I really like this product, as it works so well at removing scale and grime. It includes both a sealed bottle of cleaning formula and a spray nozzle that you put on after removing the bottle cap. After spraying this product on the dirty cartridge filters from my hot tub and letting them soak for a few minutes, they then hose-off easily and the cartridge pleats are looking bright white again. I go through this product fairly quickly and just wish it was a bit cheaper for the small 16-ounce bottle.
