Just what the mechanic ordered original part was made of white metal or pot metal trying to tighten it twisted right off this is made from brass the machine work put into this part is first class.

Great quality sight glass plug. Much better than the original plastic one which had cracked that the cambell hausfeld manufacturer had installed, yup poor design and cheap quality for a vertical 30 galloon air compressor. Caution to all you cambell hausfeld purchasers, in Canada. But any way difficult to find this replacement part from the manufacturer due to American parts supply and extra tariff charges , not worth the cost for a cheap plastic sight window, though in the manual it states its glass, not so. This sight glass window plug is a great quality permanent replacement. Though a bit expensive, was easier to make a choice with a offered discount. The class of thread cut is longer and a much better tapered fit ( NPT ). As tested out, with orange Teflon tape, it provides a proper tight seal. Recommended for a one time permanent fix.
