Great for Linux, Use Caution with Windows
On Bazzite these work perfectly, no stutters regardless of what game is open on the main or what apps are on the side. I still have stuttering issues on Windows (mainly while videos are loading), but that is a known flaw with Windows if your monitors have differing refresh rates. I run 2 Dell 1702FP LCD (5:4 1280x1024 60Hz) monitors with my main being a Samsung Odyssey G50A (2560x1440 144/165Hz). So my recommendation is if you are on Linux, mix and match whatever; if you are on Windows, it might be better to match two modern monitors rather than use this. This possibly might not be an issue if you are trying to connect a CRT monitor. The image quality is pretty good, but not as good as DP to DVI (although active DP to DVI are MUCH more expensive).

Fixed jitter that a passive converter had.
I was using a passive DisplayPort to VGA converter that worked fine when connected straight to a monitor. But then I hooked my computer up through a 4-port KVM switch that has built in 6-ft cables plus the cable from the KVM to the monitor. That caused the display to jitter and not be a crisp picture. I ran it through Google AI and it told me the problem was the passive converter didn't have enough signal strength for the amount of cabling. Even though this is considerably more expensive (because the other one was 4 converters for a cheaper price) this 100% fixed my problem. And now displays through the KVM switch with zero jitter, a crisper picture and better colors. So if you need an active DisplayPort to VGA converter it's definitely worth spending the extra money.

This is the only active adapter you need for a 3 monitor set up with the AMD Eyefinity
If you have all of the other related hardware, this adapter will get you up and running with a 3 screen/monitor system. I have a MSI graphics card with the Radeon AMD 7770 chip. It's getting harder and harder to keep up with all the possible incarnations that can result from one chip being offered on so many different graphics cards. There are several different versions of the MSI Radeon HD7770 card alone. My MSI card has one full size DisplayPort, one HDMI and a DVI-D out. So three total outputs (and you will use all 3 for the 3 screen Eyefinity set up). You can do HDMI to HDMI for one monitor, DVI-D to DVI-D for another, and this StarTech adapter from the DisplayPort out on the graphics card to the VGA cable that attaches to the VGA input on your monitor. This set up assumes that each of your 3 monitors have one HDMI input, one DVI-D input, and a VGA input. I'm using three of the Asus VS247H-P monitors. Thin bezel, good price, excellent reviews and all three of the listed inputs. You will need the most current drivers and AMD software that supports Eyefinity to get up and running without too much pain. So this is a good adapter at a fair price that will work with the Eyefinity three display set up for monitors without DisplayPort inputs.

Pretty good
small, easy to use, inexpensive (right now at least). Seemingly very low latency, (around 1-2ms). No weird effects or issues so far. edit, still works great, lag seems to be about 1ms or less (very good) still works great. would recommend for someone who owns a pc crt

Give it a few minutes on the first use
Works but I didn't know it at first. I used this on an aorus z590 ultra that's running proxmox and rarely needs a monitor. When I plugged it in and booted the screen was a mess of random patterns. After 2 or 3 minutes the bios or OS timed out and it started working, and has never stopped working since then even on a system reset or something, so I guess it just needs to map something before it works idk I'm not really a computer guy so I'm not really qualified to be using this or running a home server 🤷♂️ but yeah it does work fine, could be a little cheaper

perfetto!! Arrivato in anticipo!
Arrivato anche in anticipo! funziona alla grande e ora al pc lavoro con 2 monitor! con buona pace di chi diceva che non avrebbe funzionato o che non era possibile!

Suspicious
The item that I received did not feel like a quality product from a trusted source. The display port connector was loose and flimsy, the VGA port was cross threaded. The packaging felt suspiciously easy to defraud.I've received another of the same product and they are not the same at all.
