A Very Believable Novella!
Let me say first of all that I really enjoy Trent Evans books. I had just finished the Volume 1 collection of White Valley and continued on with this novella. Novella's are notorious for their lack of time to build story lines and characters and I felt a bit like that was the case in this story. But it was a quick read and enjoyable.Note: You may find the lack of editing to be distracting from time to time.

Sarah and Tim's End Of Summer Interlude
After a long hot summer with kids home from school, summer isover and Sarah's accounting has arrived. Tim surprised Sarah bybeing in their bedroom after the school bus left. He took the dayoff from work to give Sarah what she needs, a full accounting ofdiscipline that was overlooked all summer long. Sarah gets paddledflogged, plugged and punished thoroughly for snapping at her sister, texting while driving and other violations of the rules she and Timagreed to. The punishments and sex were hot, sexy and very arousing. The story flowed from the very start and I never put the book down untilI finished it.

Beware of what you ask for...
Actions have consequences, and Sarah is about to learn that her loving husband, Tim, takes his responsibilities to his side of the bargain very seriously. The author does a great job of showing a dual POV of a DD D/s dynamic so the reader actually feels the emotional turmoil and satisfaction the couple enjoys. White Valley is a unique location, and I always enjoy the glimpses we get into the private lives of the couples who choose to make this their home. Intense, emotional, and romantic in a twisted way that I love.

Full of emotions
A novella set in the White Valley books, but you can read it as a standalone. It is written in a dual POV, so we get to see and feel the events happening from both sides. That was something I really enjoyed. The novella focuses mostly on the complex emotions and the feelings as Sarah and Tim have towards their dynamic. That is a strength that Trent Evan has as an author. He is very good at showing the internal struggles of his characters.

But it now or you may be sorry
If you like your erotica, soft and sweet, slow and poetic, this book may not be for you. If you like your erotica deep and over-powering, molten and so descriptive you can almost, almost feel it, you need to buy this book right this minute. You'll hold onto your kindle almost as fiercely as Sara holds that headboard.

Sadistic/Masochistic/Humiliation.
I find the White Valley series difficult to review. Horrifying things are done to these women, supposedly with their consent. I know these are just fantasies but what if people thought they accurately portray DD. I think they should be clearly labelled as sadistic/masochistic books with a lot of humiliation thrown in. I don’t know why I feel compelled to read them except i had a quite unhappy childhood. I would like to give them 3 ½ stars but since I can’t four stars.F

.Not Great - Disappointing
Not as good as The Valley of Surrender series although even they have rather a lot of waffle to pad the tale out. This novella starts with the woman sending her child off to school for the first day of term after the summer break. So the scene is set.Unknown to her her husband has taken the day off from work.......Then various punishments and sex happen. At the end they go to bed and fall asleep only awaking in the night for more sex.Who collected the child from school?Did they ever eat?It didn’t hang together at all as it was too preoccupied with titillation thereby, unfortunately, forgetting to include any sort of credible storyline.Maybe I missed something I dunno - and I definitely shall not reread to find out!!! CBADisappointing

Short story novella to the outstanding White Valley Series
This short story tells how Tim and Sarah revisit their DD lifestyle following a summer hiatus when the children return to school. The story is told from both characters' point of view. Tim's delivery of punishment and Sarah's mixed emotions receiving it are exquisitely explained in eye watering detail. There is no actual story, this is exactly as stated an interlude in the lives of just one couple who live in this extraordinary place. I read this in one sitting and as always thoroughly enjoyed Mr Evans' (scribblings - his words not mine). I understand and that there are to be more like this and I look forward to reading them. Not for the faint hearted but an excellent read.
